We popped into the restaurant for lunch at the weekend after the fun of buying some huge fruit trees at the fantastic nursery across the road.
It was a beautiful sunny day and we sat outside. The staff were super friendly, the weather was perfect and it was all set for a great lunch. It was ok. The cold meat platter, included some cheese and duck spread, was served without bread or anything to eat it with. A slice of bread was then brought. It was R90. It really should have been more interesting and automatically served with something to eat the meats and spread with. The quiche of the day was ok. Again, average, but for R68, they could take a bit more care with the flavour.
Not a disaster, but a bit disappointing. It's such a nice spot and the staff are so good, that a wider choice on the menu would do them no harm at all.
