This fairly affordable restaurant offers a rare experience of superb fine dining with breathtaking views,
This is a restaurant with 6-8 chefs who cater for no more than 60-70 people It has a unique architectural structure, great interior and unique design, unbelievable ambiance, and absolutely delicious food, It is managed by Micky who is probably one of the most efficient, knowledgable and helpful restaurant managers that we've ever came across, hence no wonder that the service was also great,
Wine matching was perfect, pre-entree and pre-desert little dishes were unbelievably tasty, and different from many other restaurants - still and sparkling water of superb quality were "on the house"...
To sum it up: wonderful and yet affordable experience

A few days ago my Husband and I enjoyed the most superb lunch at the Restaurant at Waterkloof. We go there as often as we can - not always possible because we live over an hour away, but we do like to spend special occasions there.
Oh my goodness, what a breathtaking experience! Not only is the location exquisite - on the Waterkloof Wine Estate, surrounded by vineyards and fynbos on all sides, and the view of the beautiful sea and mountains straddling False Bay - but the architecture of the Tasting Room and Restaurant is simply mind-boggling as it captures all the best that this incredible part of the world has to offer!
The cuisine at the restaurant is definitely "up there with the Best!" The most excellent combination of flavours, colours and textures - each dish ordered is a work of art! The Chef has the most innovative imagination, and the service at the Restaurant is wonderful. The staff is well-trained, and give great attention to detail. The wine-pairing of dishes with wines from the Waterkloof Estate is a perfect way to taste the wines. We certainly rate this 5*, and will be back as soon as we can!

You can't go on the wine route without visiting this setting, it is truly spectacular with a far off view over Gordon's bay. The architecture won a prize. Set in the middle of vineyards on a hill this modern building and artistic interior houses the wine cellars and nouvelle cuisine restaurant. Take your camera, the mountainous backdrop to the vineyard make spectacular pictures. The food and service is way above average.

What a great experience. No words to described the beautiful view from the deck. The service was very good with a very professional air to it. The food was superb! It was presented so nicely that you don't really want to eat it - but when you took the leap and ate it - unbelievably good food! A definite recommend from my side!!

I was invited to the Waterkloof by a friend for a celebration meal. The menu is quite eclectic and the portions are very nouvelle cuisine.
Some of the dishes seemed to be missing one of the component parts, and the butter that was served with the bread tasted distinctly off, although we were assured that this was the normal flavour of farm fresh butter!!
The view though is truly wonderful.
