We are regular visitors to the Grand cafe and it always was a pleasure to visit when Wendy was in charge. Now, the only light point is the welcoming and true service nature of Freddy our gracious host and waiter. We 'd also seen him running around, all by himself, trying to please all his clients during busy periods. The food however, lacks the finesse that we'd grown accustomed to and as per the review below, we were disappointed that something as simple as clotted cream was not available with the scones. The fact that it was unavailable was only announced by the kitchen, after it was prepared and served. It is important for the new owners to understand that word of mouth in a small town can make or break a business.
