Beautifully decorated rooms at the foot of the Swartberg mountains welcomes you at this peaceful establishment. One of the highlights were definitely the breakfast every morning under the trees..it was absolutely delicious!

Perfect in every way. Loved the braai facility and close proximity to the Forge room with kitchen. I suggest however that your waitrons ask guests it they want the pear and yoghurt breakfast starter rather than just delivering it to table.

First, the yes. Charming old buildings, stylish rooms, a superb breakfast in a colourful garden with a magnificent view of the countryside. I booked two rooms and paid the same rate for both. One was spacious and luxurious, the other small and cramped,.a discrepancy that wasn't evident from the Dennehof's website or reflected in the price. The large room comprised an indoor shower, a large outdoor bathroom, a comfortably furnished lounge area and two large patios. The other had a relatively large shower and dressing area but the bedroom as such was small. It contained a fridge, tea and coffee facilities with the kettle inconveniently on the floor, a small bench for luggage and a single chair which our clothing shared with the spare blanket that was stored there. In front was a patio with Adirondack-style chairs, uncomfortable without cushions and unusable without shelter from sun or rain. During my stay, the only place to sit was on the bed.

Room Tip: Significant differences between the rooms. Check before you book.

We stumbled upon Dennehof in the magical town of Prince Albert, while looking for a place to stay on the way to the coast. The guest house is set in a beautiful part of town, next to a dairy (well worth visiting while you are there).

The guest house suites are situated amongst olive trees, lemon trees and aloes. Each room is decorated differently, but very tastefully, with good quality linen and attention to detail.

Lindsay and Ria, the owners, are very welcoming and happy to suggest activities, restaurants, routes and tell you about their home. A friendly dog, Baxter, is always around as well.

The breakfast spread was fantastic - the best breakfast in Prince Albert, I'm told! Delicious fresh local fruit with thick greek yoghurt, followed by a hot breakfast (I would recommend the soufflé omelette).

This is definitely somewhere which I would go again, and I I would highly recommend it.

What an amazing weekend we had. We stayed two nights and did the Mountain Bike trip towards Die Hel on the Saturday.

Dennehof is a B&B in a different class with beautiful comfortable rooms, the best breakfast you can expect and the tranquility that you want for a break away. Ria recommended a show in Prince Albert's showroom and a Wit Blits (very strong alcohol) and potjiekos (traditional
SA dish) evening that was hosted in town which we thoroughly enjoyed.

The trip to the Hel on our mtb was an experience of a lifetime. This full day trip with lunch in this lost valley in the heart of the Swartberg Mountains was worth every penny.

Ria is an excellent host and Lindsay the most relaxed, patient and accommodating Mountain Bike tour guide.

We thought this would be a nice hotel just by looking at its website but it exceeded our expectations. It is decorated with really good taste, the rooms are very spacious, the bed was very comfortable, it was very quiet. Everything you would want from a hotel. The added extra touches was a delicious hot breakfast to order served outside under the trees by the water, an honesty bar with local wines for R80, Really Nice And Helpful Staff. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Prince Albert.
