Last week, I went to Spiro's, upon recommendations from a couple of friends.
I must say that we came away having had a thoroughly pleasant evening. From
the time that we parked just outside the restaurant and were welcomed at the
gate, by cheerful staff saying "Welcome to Spiro's", to going inside and giving the
name under which we had booked....no need to refer to the bookings book....they
knew which table where.... "We have got you next to a nice warm fire", the
feel of the place was happy.

We were with another couple...between us we had a Kleftiko (lamb shank..rated
best ever); moussaka.."very good" and meze for two, of whom I was one,
a lot to eat and tasty. The other three had dessert, large servings of Baklava,
which got rave reviews.

I am really looking forward to going there again, in the not too distant future.
I far prefer going to a warm (not literally) friendly restaurant with great food,
than an ostentatious expensive one, posher but with much less actual pleasure.

Great atmosphere and wide variety of Greek dishes on offer. Lively, busy place which many locals frequent. We enjoyed the meze as starters and then went for the lamb as main. All well prepared and presented. Worth a visit

Marvelous mezze. The chicken livers were some of the nicest I've ever had. They have a whole room full of stuff to keep kids entertained and a lady to keep an eye. Highly recommended.

We love Spiro's meze platters - the best way to sample all of the finest Greek treats on offer :) Well worth a visit! Be sure to request a table a little away from the kiddies' area if you don't want to be disturbed by the happy noises.

Good steak, and good stuffed calamari. We also had a great waitress with a sense of humor. Spent the whole afternoon there not feeling rushed out. Kiddie friendly, although we never had any. The most amazing baklava cheese cake, to die for. We will go back. It's casual and laid back, so u can relax. Thx
