“Exquisite!”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Our visit at Tintswalo Atlantic exceeded our expectations - everything was excellent, from the welcome, to the suites, to the service, to the food and drinks, to the breath-taking scenery right on the waters edge...a true delight in every way! A big thank you to Memory who preparred our dinner last night and to Ryno and Melissa who made our stay a memorable one. PS: the new pool deck is absolutely amazing - the best sun-bathing views in Cape Town!

Room Tip: We stayed in both the Sicily and the Robben Island Suites - both were exquisite!

This lodge is just amazing. Thank you to Ryna, Melissa, Pierre and the rest of the staff who really went out of their way to make our stay as wonderful as possible. Nothing was to much for them. We will be back and I hope that it will be soon.

Ok where to start? From the very moment we arrived to the moment we left, Ryno and his team carried us on their hands. We are seasoned travellers who can be a challenge for any management team at the best of times. They accommodated our every wish and when we arrived with crayfish and oysters for lunch they went all out and presented a superb late lunch.

The location and ambience is out out of this world. The ocean is literally on your doorstep and the sound of the breaking waves completes the setting.

The range of complimentary drinks needs a slight upgrade but overall this is a venue and location second to none. We look forward to our next stay....shortly!!

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic. Location, location, location! All perfect.

I cannot recommend this lodge enough!
The staff are outstanding! They cannot do enough for you. We were met with such a warm welcome when we stumbled across the lodge on a drive along Chapman's Peak that we immediately booked our last night in the Cape as a result.
The lodge is beautifully appointed with everything you could wish for. My husband & son were the first to test the waters of the brand new (heated) swimming pool which has a spacious sundeck and a stunning view.
Speaking of views, here you will be entertained by the view. In the morning, you wake up to the sun illuminating Hout Bay and the mountain across the bay, and throughout the day, the sun & tides gradually change the view, culminating in a simply breathtaking sunset!
The food : we were offered 'snacks' on arrival which was actually a full meal- on our patio accompanied by jugs of iced tea, iced coffee & iced water filled with fruit. My son also discovered the cookie jar!
Dinner was a 4-course affair which was absolutely delicious and perfect in every way! We especially loved that we could invite friends to join us for dinner & that the kitchen is open to the dining room & we could watch the preparations. It really gave the experience a very 'homely' feel. Lucy, our chef for the evening did a superb job!
Thank you to Ryno, Melissa & staff for a such a warm welcome & an unforgettable stay. We will be back!!

Room Tip: If you are a family, the 'presidential' suite is wonderful as you have so much space (includ...

My partner and I arrived as a surprise for her on a wintry Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a magical bottle of wine and a tasty light lunch as the waves crashed and rain clouds cleared.

Later in the afternoon we settled into Cousine (Seychelles themed), our room, literally on the rocks and waves. The room was well set with a fire and all the treats. We enjoyed the afternoon with a bottle of bubbly and the glowing sunset over the Sentinel, directly in front of us! A nap and a massive bubble bath (again with a view) was followed by a well served, delectable 4 course dinner with Edson and Johan taking exceptional care. We retired to the fire with a board game and a big smile.
That evening we slept to the sound of the crackling fire place and crashing waves through the open door. Again the view arrests you as we awoke, refreshed we headed for another meal treat! Breakfast on the deck was well served and tasty. A quick tour of the other rooms and new Swimming Pool and deck saw us depart home, very sad to leave.

If you're looking for a safari lodge with a difference then this is it. On the water, on the rocks, on the edge, close enough to the airport, shops and other restaurants and far enough to feel completely detached, spoilt and at peace.
Thank you Melissa, Ryno and Team.

Room Tip: Cousine was our one and only!

Nestled away in a nature reserve on the famous Chapman's Peak slope - lies this unpretentious, yet luxurious lodge that offers the most idyllic setting. With the waves lapping at your door, it’s impossible not to relax and enjoy the tranquility the lodge provides. The service is warm and efficient with the most thoughtful attention to detail. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you are made to feel like royalty. A real treat in the true sense. Nowhere else comes close.
