My fiancé and I had dinner here on Wednesday 6th. It is truly something special, listening to how things are foraged, the understanding of the local surroundings and seasons is inspiring. We had the game terrine and Jerusalem artichoke soup to start. The soup was lovely and velvety smooth with succulent duck. The terrine was beautifully seasoned and well paired with the citrus purée. Mains were the short rib and yellow-tail. Again, seasoning and execution was spot on. Most tender and succulent beef I have had in a long time. Yellow-tail was super fresh and beautifully cooked. Desserts too were formidable…portion sizes are generous and not break the bank expensive. We wish Chris all the best and most certainly will be back next time we are in Cape Town.
