We've just returned from Plumwood Inn. What a delightful place very conveniently located for the town centre. The rooms are large (we stayed in 2)and tastefully furnished and the bathrooms are lovely and spotlessly clean. You will not be disappointed if you decide to stay here.

Plumwood Inn and its hosts are so welcoming it feels like a home away from home. We have stayed here three times now and it never fails to disappoint.Recommend treating yourself to a deluxe room in the new block- go for the upper floor and you have a large balcony and superb views across the valley. They can arrange cycle hire too if you fancy touring the vineyards by bike. Location is an easy (and safe) 5 mins walk to centre of Franschhoek. Nothing is too much trouble here.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the new block on the upper floor for great views

Whenever we come to Franschhoek we always stay at Plumwood Inn. Lucienne and Roel are wonderful hosts. The rooms are spacious and of contemporary design. Breakfasts are excellent. The staff are without exception very friendly and helpful. As we leave we have already booked to come back next year when we will renew acquaintances with friends we have made on previous visits.

We picked this guest house from trip advisor and we were not let down . I really liked the setting , 5 minutes walk to a selection of great restaurants . The guest house was friendly and our room was gorgeous. The breakfast set us up nicely for the day . The owners helped us with reservations and organised a great wine tour . We will return but next time for longer .

Roel and Lucienne are wonderful hosts who run an excellent guest house. Close to the centre of Franschhoek, so no worries about driving to the town. We cannot praise their hospitality enough. The rooms are well thought out and contemporary. The breakfasts are fantastic. Roel and Lucienne are always on hand to give advice on trips in the area. All in all, a very good stay for us and certainly the best guesthouse that we stayed at during our trip to SA.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Simple but stylish and comfortable with a great location in central Franschhoek right next to a much more expensive and well known hotel.
The owner is very friendly and helpful and full of good advice on places to eat and vineyards to visit. She kindly booked us a table at the (very) nearby Grill Room where we had such a fantastic meal we ate there again the next day.
Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms in the rear block get a lovely view of vines on the hillside and also the evening sun...

Stayed in the Plumwood Inn for 3 nights as part of our Honeymoon, its a fantastic guesthouse set in the heart of Franschhoek. From the moment you arrive with the tranquil atmosphere you cant but relax. The common areas of the Houses are stacked with books and the availability of bottles of port certainly help winding down from a day of eating the the amazing restraunts in the town.

Service is friendly and efficient, the owners come around each table at breakfast and chat, plenty of food also to set you up for the day

If you are thinking of visiting I would certainly recomend staying at the Plumwood
