Our family of 3 had a very enjoyable stay in a great room with own fireplace and pool. Linda is an excellent host, staff very nice, breakfast delicious(no dinner food served, however they make a mean cheese platter to enjoy with your bottle of wine around the fireplace) and the house and garden(lavender galore!) were very pleasant. Just a 2 minute walk to the main street of Franschhoek with superb shopping to be had. We had a rental car so we enjoyed short trips from our hotel to wineries etc. everything is very close. A great experience and we are wanting to come back again. Thanks for a memorable time in a splendid area of South Africa.

We spent a lovely evening in this lovely little gem of a Hotel. The interiors are charming and stylish, the rooms are well thought out, comfortable and luxurious and the staff very friendly and hospitable.
We had two rooms, the Elephant Suite - with our own swimming pool on a very cute little terrace and a nearby equally well appointed room for our daughter. After enquiring about dining options in the vicinity we were booked into one of the best hard to find a table restaurant and had a lovely meal. The breakfast is served either inside or on a stunning patio overlooking the beautiful garden which was still in full bloom with roses and lavender.
We would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Elephant Suite has it's own pool!

We stayed there for one night during our road-trip and we loved it.
Old school furniture and very good service! Our room was charming and the breakfast on the stoop looking onto the beautiful gardens was very nice. It was charming.

Renata and her team should all give themselves a pat on the pack. So welcoming and helpfull.
Accomodation is amazing (would have liked a terrace, but next year) . Sitting out on the verandah over looking the beautifull garden and the mountains in the background. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and set us up for the day. The pool area was a great place to chill out and Letitia makes a mean cocktail ! Location only 2 mins walk from main road, but this was so peacefull, safe and clean. Thanks again Renata, and yes we went to Enricos, fantastic Italian food and we sent your regards.

A charming place with history in the walls, a beautiful garden and a terrace to enjoy the sunset over the mountains. A service minded staff prepeared breakfast as we wished it. The room was spacy and with an additional door into the garden. We used the Pool area a couple of times to cool down and enjoyed it. The house is situated in the center of the town, but still very quiet during the nights, and no traffic noice. We will recomend this place to any visiting Franschhoek.

We stayed here in December 2011 with our 1,5 year old son and had a wonderfull time. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and served a great breakfast. The B&B is located in the centre of Franschoek and has 6 (I think?) lovely unique rooms. All rooms are spacious, clean, tastefully furnished and have a well equiped bathroom and a very nice bed. Linda, the manager was very helpfull with tips for restaurants and sites to visit. The garden is beautifull, and the pool is a bit small, but has a nice seating area around it.

We initially stayed for 2 nights, but returned for 2 more nights when we did not like our hotel in Stellenbosch. I especially recommend the top floor room. The room is a bit smaller, but this room has a private roof top terrace, whit views of the surrounding mountains and ....a jacuzi! I highly recommend staying at Klein Oliphants Hoek.

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor room, it's a bit smaller but is has a private rooftop terrace with a jacuz...
