Two nights only should of been two weeks ....from the moment we pulled into the car park we realised this was going to be special !
You would never get this service in the UK, faultless .
Staff ,room ,swimming pools ,meals , views, hotel services better then any five star hotel in the Uk.
Next time we will stay longer .

Walking into this accommodation our jaws hit the floor and stayed there. The rooms were 2nd to none. We were so impressed with the accomodation that we didnt bother going into town for our evening meal and stayed in the room (on the balcony) and had room service.

The service was excellent and so was the food. One night is not enough. I would definitely return here.

Room Tip: Have 2 nights and take there wine tour.

Nice hotel and gardens on the outskirt of Franschhoek with a courtesy bus to take you into town. Unfortunately the night we were there, the water supply was cut off due to an external problem which spoilt it a bit. The room was nicely decorated and very spacious but it didn't compensate for not being able to have a shower before going out to dinner. The staff were not very responsive to our needs but did give us a bottle of champagne as a good will gesture and on our return we received a very nice email in response to our comments on the feed back form. We would reccomend the hotel but be aware that we were informed by some of the local people that the water supply was interrupted on a fairly regular basis.

We didn't spend much time at the hotel because we got in so late and were only there for a night. By the time we arrived, the restaurants were all closed, so the hotel arranged for some sandwiches to be brought up to the room. The rooms are nicely decorated, and very spacious. The furniture is a bit dated and the carpet is in need of cleaning or replacement.

When we checked into the room, we kept hearing a vibrating noise. They couldn't figure out what it was, and we eventually came to guess it was the neighbor's phone that kept vibrating next to us on a table/desk. They let us move to another room and were very patient while we were debating whether or not to move since the new room wasn't a king bed.

In the end after a tiring night, we chose to move. The new room was cleaner than the first which had ants in the bath tub. The breakfast the next morning was very good. Tons of fruits, cold cuts, etc., and pastries. The chocolate croissants were so good, the staffed packed a couple of us to take with us.

Sadly we didn't get to spend more than the night on this property. They gave fantastic recommendations including lunch at La Petite Ferme which is a must go for the food and view, and mapped out a few wineries for us to visit. Service overall was fantastic, highly recommended.

We stayed here while visiting for a wedding and words cannot explain how good this hotel is , we have stayed in some top hotels around the world however we have never felt so welcome and relaxed. There are 26 villas we stayed in 21 which is a suite and really catches the sun on your private terrace. All rooms are immaculate and hotels offers complimentary driver for trips to centre of town which is also like a little oasis and somewhere I am certainly going to be re visiting. It's hard to put a negative comment about this hotel however I suppose the only few niggles is the fact that there is no tv in the bedroom which me and my wife like to watch before bed plus service is pretty slow everywhere but this adds to the relaxed feel the hotel offers. Oh and I feel that the snack menu could do with a few more choices however everything we ate was of restaurant standard and above average. All in all this hotel is aimed at the more mature guest that is after a very chilled environment, We will be back for sure.

Things that impressed
The little extras like weather report on our pillow
The breakfast menu with local news and staff profile
The waiter at the pool that could not do enough for you
The staff , they are as good as it gets

We had mainly stayed in some of the most fantastic guesthouses during our month's trip around South Africa, so we were not sure as to how the hotel would measure up. I booked a Standard Deluxe room but was a little concerned by earlier reviews saying they were dated. I had liaised with Celeske before our arrival about upgrading to a Luxury room, but they had none available. Nevertheless, The room we had was lovely (standard room 2) and had a very comfortable bed. It was large with a separate seating area and large French doors with probably the largest terrace of any of the rooms, luxury or otherwise. There were sun loungers as well as a table and chairs provided, which was great, as we had a wonderful view over the gardens to the dramatic mountains beyond. The bathroom was a good size though no separate shower. I love very modern decor and knew from the title, that this would be more of a country style which it was, but very tasteful and charming, if a little in need of a little updating, being slightly critical. However this did not impinge upon our enjoyment at all and I would definitely recommend.

The gardens are pretty and have two very nice pools.

The service was superb at breakfast and a 5 star breakfast in every respect. We had dinner in the restaurant and that was superb too, with excellent and very personable service. Victoria was a little star as were her colleagues, whose names we didnt know. The Manager and his Assistant were very visible and very attentive. Certainly exceeded my expectations and was a 5 star experience.

Room Tip: Room 2 Standard room

We found this place by chance and what a little gem! The staff were very accommodating in fitting us in for lunch. We sat inside for a few drinks near the bar which was very comfortable and cool. We were then sat outside in the gardens next to a beautiful water feature. We were served by excellent and enthusiastic staff who were attentive and helpful. The lunch itself was delicious, light and a delight. Halfway through the head chief came out and enquirer about our lunch. This was unexpected and a lovely touch. We were all very impressed by this country house.
