We were staying at Lekkerwiji country house and the owner strongly recommended us to eat at Pierneef a La Motte. We didn't make any lunch reservation but the host was very kind to arranged a big table for the two of us. The place was full house. The interior was lovely, we had a crispy roasted pork n a lamb with wine. After lunch was a short walk to the wine tasting room. A cosy place with comfortable sofas to have wine tasting and large glass screen to view the working and the maturation cellars. Finally we went to visit the La Motte museum. The host at the museum walk through with us on the cultural n historical facts of the Rupert family, cape dutch architecture n the art works on display. This is a vineyard you won't want to miss it when in Franschhoek.
