Description: Fyndraai is an exciting restaurant with a local twist, on the Solms-Delta wine estate outside Franschhoek. The food, like its adventurous wines, lives up to the Solms-Delta claim of being proudly Hiervandaan (‘from this place’). You not only walk into history in the 325-year-old wine farm restaurant, you walk OVER it. The glass floor covers the archaeological substructure of a 1740 wine cellar.

We visited Fyndraai today with friends and enjoyed a pleasant relaxing Sunday lunch. The weather was great so we sat outside. We had Bobotie spring rolls to start and 'just enough to enjoy' mains (pork belly, paella and rack of ribs ) and the delish pineapple tart is a must for dessert(order your own -do not share!!) Zenobia served us and she was attentive and engaging and overall service was good. Together with easy drinking 'lekkerwijn' and good company, we had a very pleasant day at Solms-Delta.

Loved the venue. Sat out on the veranda over looking a big open lawn which was perfect for the children to play on.

For starters we had the prawn and hake spring rolls and the Cape bobotie samosas. The spring rolls were big and crispy. They had a slightly fishy taste which I love but may be a bit much for some. The samosas were absolutely delicious! I would recommend them to share or if you are REALLY hungry.

For mains we had the lamb rack and pork belly. Both were just amazing! They also have a kids menu which is great if you looking for a good spot for a family outing.

The staff were friendly and on form. We loved our visit and will definitely be back.

First, the food was out of the world, just enough but tasteful. Services was 10/10. The venue is full of history.

The wine tasting was also awesome and we enjoyed it very much. The Cape Jazz, what a wine . Definitely an Bucket List Wine

We fail to understand how the owners and the management of Fyndraai restaurant succeed in serving such tasteless and uninspired food at such a high price. One of the explanations we have is that they only target tourists that will not come back in any case.
We should have turned back when we saw greasy stains on the table, but decided to give it a try. What a mistake!
The place was empty, we understood the reason why the minute the waitress brought the couscous, chickpea,etc... salads which were totally tasteless. We asked for some olive oil to add some flavour to it. We were off to a bad start. The waitress managed to make some more greasy stains on the wooden table when bringing the olive oil.
As for the paella, it was very salty in a desperate attempt to give flavours that were lacking in the other main dish as well, a kingklip with waterblommetjies.
We decided to skip dessert and asked for the bill as we wanted to put an end to this bad eating experience. We paid the heavy bill, got in our car and as we were driving along the restaurant building we saw one of the staff members of the kitchen urinating outside the kitchen door. We don't want to think about the hygiene of the kitchen. What a disappointment in a region with so many excellent restaurants!
