This great collection of antique (1898 Ford model A), classic (auto union) and contemporary ( Ford GT 40) autos was a great walk through. It was obvious that Anthony Krupp drives some of these desirable autos, since some were on trickle chargers

This has to be one of the best collections on view to the public, Sadly one of the buildings was closed when we were there in May. Anyone who loves performance and vintage cars, this is a must.
All in showroom condition, and we were told that some of the staff get to drive them around the grounds occasionally, (what a perk!)

This is an absolute must do if you are a car enthusiast, the beautiful set up and amazing cars on display will have you in awe.
Also it is a wonderful way for the woman to get in some wine tasting while the men are kept busy, there are plenty wine tasting vineyards around should cars not be your cup of tea, but for Car Lovers this immaculate museum is not to be missed.

You don't have to be a motor vehicle enthusiast to thoroughly enjoy this stunning collection of cars, penny farthing bicycles and memorabilia.

Out for a ride to Franschhoek on my motor bike today and decided to drop in to the Franschhoek Motor Museum on my way home back to Durbanville. Imagine my surprise when arriving at the gate to be told by the guard that I wasn't allowed in because I was a motorcyclist. When I asked why, he couldn't give a reason, but said that I must park by the gate and, "... someone would come and pick me up." Sorry, but I'm not willing to treated this way, especially as a 70-year old bike veteran. I don't know what the issue is with motorcyclists, but if it is noise then surely the guard must be given some discretion. My bike is rated at 85,5 db at idling. Lastly, I don't see the need to sign in either. I've just come back from the UK and visited a couple of historic sites, the major one being Hampton Court with its priceless relics. No-one asked me for personal details there, nor at Dover Castle!
