A truly wonderful, relaxing and exceptional 5 star guesthouse with comfortable, tastefully furnished and decorated apartments/rooms and a beautiful garden with pool. Delicious breakfast on the terrace with views in the garden and the Franschhoek mountains made our mornings! Wolfgang is a real thoughtful and attentive host - and his creative egg variations for breakfast are just delicious! We stayed for 1 week - and will definitely come back!

Just wonderful.... rooms, design, service, gardens, food, can't fault it. Sadly didn't meet Christina but Wolfgang was a courteous host and Cindy lovely. We liked the walk into town, some might not. We didn't mind the Black room being straight out onto the breakfast area, some might. Free bicycle hire a bonus, an awesome way to get round the vineyards. Such a quiet relaxing place, with lovely secluded seating in the grounds from peaceful times.

we have been in the loft- tastefully decorated- with a fully equipped kitchen- if you like to cook yourself. We preferred the great breakfast with the every day very surprising egg varieties. Everywhere you look around you find out that a wonderful woman - Christina- has a look on every detail. Wolfgang made us feel like the only guests even as the Manor was fully booked.
Going out for dinner, Wolfgang organizes a free shuttel to Franschhoek town- so enjoying the wonderful South African wines would be no problem.
For people ,who could not live without German TV- this could be improved, as TV is in English.
We enjoyed the pool and the wonderful garden- that reminds me to the book: The Secret Garden- there are several places to sit down, where you could feel like owing the whole property. Coming back is already planned.

"A touch of luxury in beautiful surroundings". Tastefully decorated rooms with every comfort. Delightful landscape garden with colourful flower beds and plants surrounding lawn and infinitive swimming pool overlooking the river down below. Stunning view of the rocky hills beyond.

Friendly fellow guests from Germany, The Netherlands and Italy, but garden studded with many shady alcoves for privacy and quiet.

Breakfast on the terrace from the choicest local ingredients served under the watchful eye of the captain of the establishment. A first class captain, running a first class team - fantastic!!!!!

Room Tip: Garden cottage has an upstairs and downstairs.

Beautiful location. Wolfgang, Christina and team were incredibly helpful and friendly - right balance of leaving us to our own devices to relax and also making sure we were enjoying our stay / giving tips for dinner. Would definitely return.

This place has stunning views, beautiful gardens and lovely rooms.

The owners stay in the background unless you need something, which sometimes make it feel like a hired private villa.

Breakfast, especially in the sun on the terrace, is wonderful. However, larger portions would be good!

Drinks by the pool int he afternoon feels special too.

It's maybe a half mile to Frannschoek 'high street' which is an easy walk.

We liked it so much we're booked to return in December 13

Dear Guest,
thank you very much for your review. Yes, we are always eager to hear what a guest liked and where we still have some room for improvements. This was a very beautiful property with a homely feel. The setting was spectacular and there was a very calm and serene feel to it. The rooms were very tastefully done with a lot of attention to detail. It felt like we were staying in a luxury home and the proximity to the town center was an added advantage.
The garden was well manicured with beautiful trees and flowers in bloom. The only sounds we could hear were of the birds chirping and the stream flowing through the property.
The Master Bedroom and the Junior Suite were exquisite and the Lounge area was a great place to relax.
Every morning delicious breakfast was served outdoors on the patio overlooking the swimming pool.
The owners, Wolfgang and Christina took great care of us. We were very sad to leave the place and could have stayed on longer.
Will definitely go back there soon!!!

Room Tip: The Master Bedroom and The Junior Suite together can make an ideal combination for a couple with two...

Dear Mamta, it was a pleasure for all of us having you and your family here staying with us at the Franschhoek Manor. We were particularly happy that your parents enjoyed their stay as well and Ben and Timmy got a new lovely friend (your daughter). We would love to welcoming you again, whenever your plans will allow this. Wolfgang
