We stayed here with two friends and had a wonderful time. The property was very close to town, but situated on a lovely wine farm with a very nice restaurant. The price was very reasonable given the largeroo and spacious, modern bathrooms (double vanities, what a treat in a guest house).

We arrived around dinner time and had a very nice picnic on our patio with friends since we had several big meals the previous nights. Highly recommend for the setting, comfort and value.

My wife (Evonne) and I stayed for 16 nights at La Petite Daphine ('LPD') in January and February of this year. 16 nights may seem rather long, but LPD is simply wonderful and our time there went far too quickly.

It is a working wine and fruit farm and the guest suites are beautiful. We were in a detached cottage (No.8) for 13 nights and in Suite 1 for 3 nights. They are both very stylish, which is not surprising as one of the owners of LPD (Gert) is a leading interior designer in South Africa.

Both Gert and co-owner Louis, are friendly and helpful, ably assisted by Steffan who gets around the farm on his bicycle, attending to guests' needs.

Breakfast (included in the rate) is at Cafe Bon Bon within the farm. It is superb not only for the variety and excellence of what is on offer for breakfast (and indeed lunch) but also for its lovely setting under the trees and the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff, ably led by Marie Louise.

LPD is only a couple of minutes drive from the villiage of Franschhoek, yet it is in the heart of the country, with fantastic views. It is breathtakingly beautiful.

An experience not to be missed. We thoroughly recommend it.

It is the day after my wedding and I had to simply write a review given that I had the most incredible wedding day at La Petite Dauphine. I could not have had a more perfect setting, atmosphere, menu and service. The quality of the food is superb and the rooms are truly gorgeous. The staff were excellent and I felt extremely well looked after. We would go back in a heart beat.

We recentky stayed at this establishment for three nights in room 3. Room 3 is great as it has a seperate living room and and good size fridge, sink etc. The rooms are all beautiful and well apppointed. The bathroom is awesome with fabulous cosmetics from the Charlotte Rhys Range. Breakfast is included in the rate and the variety is exceptional. The srvice levels are very good. This is a calm place to relax and contemplate life. The best thing to do is ambvle about, enjoy the swimming pools and all that this beautiful valley has to offer.

Room Tip: Room 3 has a seperate lounge

Stayed in la petite dauphine after Xmas and it was very disappointing. Dislike it when you can just sense the owners raking in the $$ and thinking so short term. Will not stay there again - how can they charge you you for 2nd cappuccino and toast at breakfast when you have paid excess of R3000 per night. And the staff one morning were all fighting with each other - really sets of very negative energy and wrong impression. And as for the managers on duty - they were completely hopeless.

If only you stayed with us you would have known that our units are equipped with Nespresso Cappuccino Machines and you do not pay to make use of these machines. We also offer a bottomless cup of coffee with breakfast for our in-house guest at Café BonBon.
Pity you do not understand the local language or culture and it seem to you like fighting.
