We had a great rabbit and risotto at La Petite Ferme. We will definitely be coming back as there is something comforting about the food and environment. The only downside was the dessert seemed abit busy.

This restaurant is in our opinion riding on it's reputation and it's stunning position overlooking the valley.

The wine was excellent, but the food distinctly average and overpriced. WE had to send the Kudu fillet back, it was overcooked and very tough despite asking for rare, they replaced it with another dish which was distinctly forgettable and our only compensation was a free desert. They said they'd had problems with their Kudu supplier, yet I see others complaining about this as well. Thank goodness for Ryan's kitchen in the village, no view but superb food.

We dropped in unbooked for lunch on a friend's recommendation and were very disappointed with the standard of food and service. On the plus side the views from the terrace are stunning and the wines which we ordered were excellent.
Sadly the taste and presentation of the food was awful. The rabbit dish consisted of a roughly chopped overcooked rabbit carcass, bones and all, sitting on a stodgy lump of undercooked mashed potato. Sounds dire? It was - but although it was returned virtually untouched no one bothered to come over and ask what the problem was.
We paid and left and won't be back.

This restaurant really doesn't try very hard as they know that most of their customers will be tourists and therefore one-off. The tablecloth had holes in it, the restrooms were not clean and a sugar bowl brought to accompany the coffee was filthy, both inside and out.
The food was very expensive for what it was. The Thai fish cakes tasted of cheap smoked fish. The only Thai flavour on the plate was the sweet chilli sauce (out of a bottle) that accompanied it. A fillet steak was very tough and very obviously inferior quality meat. Not recommended.

Fantastic views. Staff tho' attentive all seemed sullen. Food was not up to the usual standard. Of my two courses, first, the Choux bun was soggy, the second, Thia Fishcakes, was awful, I could not eat it. This was removed from the bill
Two other tables were also dissappointed having travelled far. We all complained to the restaurant manager. He did wish me a nice day! Was it just a bad day in the kitchen? Jennifer Precious jenniferpreci@aol.co.uk
