“Not as good this time”
Reviewed July 24, 2014

I was very excited to return with my family to La Petite Ferme in July. Having eaten there in January I listed it as one of my favorite dining experiences. Unfortunately, it was not what I had raved about. The food was quite limited in what I was able to eat (not eating red meat) and the three dishes my family ordered was indeed ordinary. The service as well was lacking the special attention I had before. New owner? New chef? Or low season of winter?

“Great place for Sunday Lunch”
Reviewed July 21, 2014 via mobile

When ever we stay over fro a long weekend in Franschhoek we always find ourselves eating Sunday lunch here. It's a great place to bring the kits weather permitting there is a large area of grass for the kids to play on whilst you are enjoying the great view over Franschhoek with a glass of some fine wine.

The food is great and by Franschhoek standards not that expensive. The average main course is R130 with starters and deserts about R55. The wine list is also very affordable. The menu is not extensive, but there is something for everyone.

The staff are well trained and very polite. The venue is great for large parties for people and most times you will see three generations at one table. After lunch it is great to just sit back on the grass and finish what ever is left in the wine bottle

“Excellent wine tasting and lunch”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

My husband and I attended the fabulous 11.00 wine tasting tour given by the 'patriarch' of Le Petite Ferme (who built the restaurant and planted the vines), followed by lunch. The tour and wine tasting were informative, fun and charming. The lunch was relaxed with beautiful views, excellent service and fabulous food. Highly recommended!

“Lunch in a postcard setting”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

The menu was a bit adventuresome and the food delicious. My daughter had Springbock and I had Kingklip. The view of the vineyards and mountains was lovely.

“Lovely lunch in Franschoek”
Reviewed July 5, 2014

We had a really yummy lunch here. After spending the morning wine tasting & finding the La Motte restaurant closed, we came here. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise because the food was really good. It tasted great and was so pretty to look at. I definitely recommend it.
