My boyfriend and I had dinner here in September 2008. We tried the 6 course menu where you can pick your own 6 dishes in whatever order you wish - the menu is divided into starters, fish dishes, meat dishes, cheese dishes and dessert, so you could have 6 dessert courses if you wish (I had 2!). We couldn't fault the food, which was cooked to perfection. And the presentation was just stunning. We loved experimenting with different flavours that we would never have thought would go together, but somehow it just worked. The waiters were excellent, explaining in detail what you were being served and had a good knowledge of the dishes when I asked for clarification on some of the menu items. What I really enjoyed about the place was how it retained a sense of stylishness but balanced out by informality. We'd dressed up because we wanted to make a special evening of it, but equally there were people dressed in jeans, and both dress codes felt right - there was nothing "stuffy" about it, like there would be in a similar level restaurant in London.
