My wife and I enjoyed an 8 course taster meal here in August. I have eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants and I have no doubt, that if Michelin operated in South Africa this would have a couple of their stars. It is by far one of the most interesting and enjoyable meals I have had. The wine accompaniment was first class.
The restaurant was busy, but the the room handled it easily, giving it a lovely atmosphere. The staff were absolutely perfect in their serving and explanations of each course.
The food itself was just inspired. Each course was neither better or worse than the previous one, it just kept a constant level of brilliance.
If you go to Franschhoek and don't eat here then you have missed out on something very special indeed.
