We were here for lunch and I have to say the food was fantastic very stylish in its presentation sometimes maybe a little too pretty to eat. But tasty non the less. The only problem I found was that their was not enough staff for the amount of people eating here. You had to wait a long time to catch anyone's attention. Having said that it really is a lovely place to relax and eat if you are not in too much of a hurry. Excellent wine as well . Would return

The meal which we shared at Grande Provence was out of this world. Every bite was an experience and everything was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my second visit to Grande Provence. We were seated under the oak tree on a lovely autumn day. Service was prompt and efficient, under pinning a creative menu. The fois grais starter unexpectedly had chocolate in it and didn't really combine into a good dish. Apart from quail that was slightly overcooked, the dishes were well executed and worked well.
It's not the cheapest venue in town at R350 for 3 courses but considering the location and general quality it is worth a visit.

We have visited many wonderful restaurants since being in Franschhoek. We were looking forward to dinner at GP However, we're very disappointed. We were firstly surprised for a restaurant which rates it self highly there was no maître d' or not one that we could see. Despite the staff being friendly they were clearly not trained to the level of other restaurants in franschhoek. Most of the food was fine but not wow! We expected wow! as this meal was almost twice the price of any other restaurant we have visited ( including Pierneef at La Motte)
My main course of rabbit was over cooked and the pre dessert was a non event. There are many restaurants in franschhoek and the surrounding area pushing the bar. GP you can't rest on your laurels
