Stopped here on our wine lands day trip. Perfect place to sit outside and watch the world go by. Good choice on the menu. Tasty food with good service.

Had dinner there our first night in Franschhoek. The threee of us all had meat - I ordered the 500g T-Bone steak. The quality of the meat was very high, the service was good and the wine excellent. We here a lll very satisfied and this was better and also cheaper than the other restaurants we visited in Franschhoek. We had booked well in advance which was good since we saw many people who couldn´t get a table - and this was on a Wednesday.

After a heavy lunch and wine at a vineyard in Bot River, we decided for a light meal of mussels cooked in wine with creme (and supposedkly some vegetables) and a bottle of Cap Classique (South African champagne). The mussel shells were big but the mussels were rather small but tasty. Too much cream, too little wine and hardly an onion or similar to be found. My son had a sirloin steak which was cooked more than medium-rare requested. Sitting outside was pleasant despite a few mosquitos.
Pleasant atmosphere and acceptable service level for a tourist place. But the French Connection was sorely missing!!

We had lunch here whilst touring the Winelands recently and had a very good experience, the food is of a good standard, fairly priced with plenty of choice, it arrived quickly and well presented. Excellent winelist (as you would expect here) and very friendly staff. he restaurant was recommended to us by locals and was obviously very popular.
