“Nice lunch under the trees”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

We had a lovely lunch under the trees at Bread and Wine. Beautiful setting. It was great to know that they were child friendly as well and didn't mind us brining a little one with. Charcuterie plate was lovely however the salad in the middle not fantastic. Springbok very enjoyable and extremely tender. The burger a little disappointing, the pattie was over seasoned and the presentation extremely simple with no garnish.

“One of our best lunch ever.”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

It was just an incredible meal! Their Bread & Wine might be delicious, as suggested by the name, but everything else was just incredibly tasty, refined, cooked perfectly. Great experience at a very very affordable price. We had no booking so arrived early (around 12.15) and had no problem having a table.
Our advice: Try the Miss Molly 'Le Petit Rosé' sparkling, so good!

“Great bistro find in Franschhoek”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

What a quaint restaurant. We ate outside under some large shade trees. We were a large party of 16 so we had a preset menu but it was wonderful. The homemade salami and pastrami was outstanding. The risotto was excellent. The homemade truffles were to due for. The service and atmosphere was outstanding. I would highly recommend taking the time to eat here after taking in the town of Franschhoek. Well worth it. We strolled through the gardens on the way back to our bus.

Before plan to Cape town I did some research..this restaurant was on our list...its not in city centre of fransvhoek but Can be reach in 10-15 minutes...For the meal selection I had burger...my hubby had cheese platter...we could say...the presentation and the taste of food..was nice...we also order caffe latte with different kinds of chocolate..we do like it but not the chilly one..beside that they also have provide wine testing...wonderful sparkling wine.I bought one..it became my favourite now...after Moët Chandon..I do recommended this restaurant for family It will be good if we make reservation a head...because it mostly busy...
