I guess they don't need any more amazing reviews but we loved our lunch here. The mussels were especially delicious, and we ordered one of the cheaper wines which we also found delicious. We were sad to hear they were out of the oysters but were happy with everything. I wouldn't recommend the lamb ravioli, as I couldn't really taste any lamb, or much of anything besides the pasta. But in general a beautiful meal and we would definitely go back. I also always love the option to order a smaller or larger portion of things, as it allows us to try more dishes.

Strawberry/balsamic dessert blew my socks off! YUM!

Also do the wine tasting here - we found the pours to be incredibly generous - almost half glasses of wine. Who wouldn't like that?!

This restaurant on the Moreson wine farm gets very booked up but is worth the visit. The day we ate there the temperature read 36 degrees so we were pleased to get a large table for 2 outdoors. The service was impeccable and the food very acceptable. Excellent local trout and we recommend the Premium Chardonnay for pleasant lunchtime drinking.

This establishment is under the same family ownership as the Quartier Francais and is therefore an excellent recommendation in itself.

The wine estate also has a very good delicatessen and an orchid centre worth visiting as well as the usual wine tasting opportunities.

Our most recent visit was in January with a friend from the UK. It is and remains one of my favourite lunch venues in the Boland. The food is unfailingly excellent and interesting, the service is great and the ambience wonderful for a lazy leisurely lunch. I have never yet been disappointed and have always come away wanting more! The wines from the Moreson estate are a great addition to the food!

So we booked...for you need to! We sat under the trees with the sunlight wafting through the branches and supped local wines, and ate brilliantly inspired food and then burped....quietly! So we loved it!

We tried smoked ox tongue.....tasty and delicate, crayfish & panzanella salad (great dressing), antipasto for two...the cardamon salami gets special mention here, and the double portion of pea raviloli.

All the staff under Tina's watchful eye were great and Neil......can we encourage you to start an export meat business...please!

We stopped in the shop and bought a scotch egg, more cardamon salami and some wonderful sough dough bread....and had a repeat minor feast the next day at our fiends Cape Town home.
