We stayed here for two nights recently & our only complaint is that we couldn't stay for longer! The house is absolutely gorgeous & our room was decorated beautifully. Particularly loved the smell of roses & honeysuckle wafting in from the garden - it was like heaven! The house is on a quiet road just seconds from the centre of town, where there are lots of lovely shops & restaurants. We were so impressed with the staff here - James especially - who was extremely helpful & gave us excellent advice on dinner reservations & our onward drive. Thank you James! We are already planning our return trip & will be back!

This is a lovely family run guest house with lovely attention to detail, peaceful surroundings, nice quality of guests, friendly and attentive staff and owners.

The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. The breakfast is wonderful. The owners will do anything to make your stay pleasant and productive. There is a lot to see in Franschhoek and getting to the best wine yards is not easy in one or two days. Let the owners guide you and they will also reserve evening meals and private wine tastings.

highly recommended.

Hi,
I really appreciate your lovely review and for taking the time to do one. It means a lot to my staff and I to assist the guests where possible. My manageress, Pat, is super with everyone as she is 4th generation Franschhoek. We all work well as a team, and I always hope that the guests, enjoy this family type run establishment, because we see ourselves in that light. All the very best,
James

Pat and James were very nice hosts. The room was decorated in the finest taste with great attention to detail. Great location within 2 minute walk of most of the restaurants on the main drag. Would love to return

We were so comfortable at the Maison Chablis and were delighted with our choice. The garden is a hive of activity for birds and squirrels and it was wonderful to watch the Whydah birds flying around the trees from our garden room. The bed was as comfortable as can be - the breakfast and the breakfast room were amazing - we really couldn't fault it. However, what makes Maison Chablis the perfect spot is James and his wonderful attitude and help and the service that he gives. We loved his restaurant recommendation for The French Connection and Takki's (don't ask - it was an English football tv request - but the food was fab too) and that is what made our stay special. And Simba of course - what a lovely dog. Do do the wine tram and the nearby motor museum they are brilliant attractions in a beautiful place.
