My husband and I decided to splurge and spend two nights here while in South Africa celebrating our anniversary. We had already visited Kruger and spent a few nights in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, so we had done a lot of game viewing. We chose !Xaus to wrap up the safari portion of our trip and do a bit of relaxing and couldn't be more pleased with our choice. The setting is gorgeous and the accommodations were very luxurious, especially given the location. The activities, including bush walks and game drives, provide guests with an opportunity to learn about the wildlife, geography, and culture of the region from the very knowledgeable and friendly staff. We found all aspects of the service to be impeccable from our arrival to our departure. Meals and snacks were delicious and the lodge was able to cater to a vegetarian diet without any problems.
Although the price was high for our typical travel budget, we felt it was a good value for the money once meals and activities were factored in. I would suggest learning about the lodge and its mission before planning a visit. We did, so we knew exactly what to expect and loved every minute of our stay! Highly recommended.More
