“Great location”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

Beautiful location with great views, eco-friendly, nice outdoor area, braai facilities, camping site,... very friendly&helpful staff which has lots of plans to further upgrade the place.
I liked the chilled vibe in the house and the way the 2 brothers running the backpackers taking care of their guests.
It's the most affordable place in the area and probably the most charming aswell. Just a few minutes drive from Augrabies Falls this backpackers is well worth a visit.

We stayed there just now for three nights with our tent. After changing the owner, the backpacker is now run by two imaginative brothers, who try hard to make the place an exceptional home base for day trips and adventure tours. Situated between plantations, the not overkilled backpacker with its scattered buildings, chilling places, fallow areas and generous green lawn provides much space contributing to the overall open(-minded) atmosphere. We enjoyed cooking in the community kitchen, which opens toward the rustic common room with billiard, lounge and long wooden tables. Outside facilities are a little bit rocked, but with character. The guys were always somehow busy, taking care of everything and everyone, very polite and helpful. Many thanks! Although this place has still a lot of potential due to its setting and opportunities given by the large property, it is already a great place to stay. I am curious to see, what the bros make out of it.

Great place! But needs some work. We liked the vibe- grungy and rustic. But it can still be spotless. Also could have been helped to organise river trip before we arrived.
We hope these guys get going- amazing potential- it will be pumping- you will have to book ages in advance! They were friendly, chilled and took care. They even looked after our dog. Thats what made it- we could take our dog without paying silly prices. It was a great get away- felt like we were on our own farm!)
