Most of the comments are true if you read the other reviews. This is a remote place where you can sit out on your personal terrace, relax, sup a drink, watch and listen to the sunbirds in the bushes and watch the mountains (Amphitheatre) change colour. The family who own the property are normally on hand, extremely friendly (as are the staff) and it's a pleasure to chat with them at the bar before going into dinner.
I would say the food is good but not outstanding (we have had better in South Africa and Namibia) but maybe us Londoners are spoiled with Michelin star restaurants and it's a bit unfair to compare standards of food and presentation to a big city.
I would thoroughly recommend this lodge to anyone who loves nature, guided walks (free), relaxation and lovely atmosphere.
