Description: THE GREEK is a local gem in Jeffreys Bay, situated near the beach it is the perfect spot for great food and wine. With world travelers, locals, foodies and families visiting THE GREEK daily. Once you have been to THE GREEK you will forever be part of THE GREEK's family. The success of THE GREEK is down to 3 beliefs. 1. We do everything the GREEK way: We only use the best fresh local produce cooked the authentic greek way in clay ovens and open grills. 2. The second belief is, a restaurant is more than just food, it is about good company, good music, good atmosphere, good conversation and becoming food friends. 3. Uncle George's philosophy on life, food, love and everything in between,

Situated in a whitewashed house, very close to a good beach, the Greek offers hearty, fresh food that encompasses some great Greek dishes, and more. There is ample opportunity for a serious mezze feast with friends, or a choice of individualy plated grills. Pizzas are also a speciality, and they really are good.
. I think everything is done in a clay, woodfired oven, and the result is very
George, the owner, is a classic example of the gregarious, open armed proprietor, and his passion for food is apparent. He is also a serious Nikos Kazantzakis fan, as witnessed by dozens of quotes on the wall.....

Had lamb shanks yesterday, just fabulous and at only R120 for sure the best value you will find. We love this place so much we visit at least once a week. Wines are simply priced in 3 price categories with a sticker starting at R55 so it's easy to select. Also the lamb or chicken souvlaki is to die for, slow roasted and served with salad or Greek potatoes. Their cappuccino coffee is excellent and cheapest in JBay served regular or large. Having been to thousands of Greek restaurants in Greece, Canada, USA & Australia I can confidently proclaim that The Greek in Jeffrey's Bay is the best of all. Highly recommended for a memorable meal. The only negativity is that owner George needs to be stricter with smokers polluting non smokers with their filthy stinky fumes but I was assured that they intend to address this in future

The Greek is a nice restaurant. You are seated on wooden white tables and from a few positions you can spot the indian ocean. The variaty of food is good. Not too little and not too much. There are pasta, pizza, fish and meat. We have been there a few times now and were never disappointed. We had pizza, fish and pasta so far. All well. The service is also very good. The price is fair.
