“A taste of SA”
Reviewed December 25, 2011

Fantastic setting and friendly staff. Our fish of the day and steak were cooked to perfection on the Braai

Friendly attentive staff.

Very happy we discovered this place on our last night.

Thank you for a wonderful meal in a truly rustic setting.

“Exrtraordinary”

We visited Wallskipper restaurant in Jeffreysbay what a wonderful experience, sitting with your bare feet in a restaurant with see sand as a floor and close to the breaking of the waves, eating and drinking out of old tin plates and mugs, even the wine served in a tin mug, waitresses also bare feet. Wonderfull and nice food!!!

“Down to earth, beautiful setting, delicious South African food!”
Reviewed September 27, 2011

Enjoyed the 'kick your shoes off' atmosphere and wonderful view of the ocean. Drinking and eating out of tin cups and plates does not only ad to the fisherman feeling of the restaurant but also eliminates the fear of broken glass under your feet. You get really big portions which you'll struggle to finish! This is not your average fish and chips!

“The setting is what you pay for, otherwise overpriced”
Reviewed August 20, 2011

Walskipper is a ' shack on the beach' kind of restaurant with a stunning setting, - as long as the 'Easterly' wind doesn't blow. The food is ok, specialising in grill and sea-food. A paté and home-made fresh bread are served free of charge. The menu mostly grilled meat and fish. Prices are expensive with very little on the menu under R100, so it is a place visited by tourists, not so much the locals and in the main summer seasons you do have to book.

“Fantastic Beach Seafood Restaurant!!!”
Reviewed May 2, 2011

We shared a wonderful meal at the Walskipper! Love the idea of sitting with your feet in the unusually beautifully clean sea sand! Sitting at the quaint wooden tables and enjoying your Chardonnay out of an enamel cup!

The food is fantastic and a 'must do' in the area!

One recommendation, go for lunch to soak up the wonderful views!!!
