Located in the Addo Elephant National Park on a low hill with uninterrupted views of the Karoo Plains and the Zuuberg Mountains, Kuzuko Lodge is a place that you will remember after your visit. The staff are very friendly and they are intent on making your visit as pleasant and as comfortable as possible.
Accommodation "chalets" are individual, thatched roof units, air-conditioned and containing all the comforts of a five star hotel. They lodges are roomy, tastefully decorated and very comfortable with a separate couch, flat screen TV, large bathroom and an outdoor terrace overlooking the plains and mountains and oh so quiet. Tea and coffee making facilities, in-room safe and a mini bar (reasonably priced) are in the room, in addition to individual bathrobes, complementary slippers and nice toiletries and nightly bed turn-down service. Free WiFi is available. A bonus is the night sky and the millions of stars that you don't see in built up areas.
The Lodge's public areas, containing a bar, lounge, dining room, outside terrace, shop and nice pool are separately located a close distance from the accommodation lodges.
The highlight of your stay will undoubtedly be your "safari" in cut down Toyota Land Cruisers. The park rangers are really great and eager to make your park experience memorable. They are very knowledgeable and more than willing to do some bush bashing to find and get close to the park's wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a Cheetah, Elephants, two male lions, and any number of Impala and Kudu as well as giraffes and baboons on our way to the Lodge.
Overall a memorable and very enjoyable two night stay. If you are thinking about staying here, do it. You shouldn't be disappointed.

This location is worth its 5 stars. Great rooms, really nice food and excellent service.
Game drives were adventurous and performed by experienced rangers.

For future travellers a point of attention might be the fact that the numner of animals in the park is a bit limited.

My wife and I spent 5 nights at Kuzuko Lodge. We had a wonderful, relaxing, and informative time. The food was fantastic; they did a fine job for this vegetarian foodie. We took twice daily game drives with very knowledgeable staff, and saw lions, cheetah, elephant, and rhino, and many other species. We had great massages by skilled staff. We are particularly inspired by the "greater vision" of a five-star facility designed to serve the triple bottom line of people, planet, profits. Great job.

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Kuzuko Lodge. The experience at the lodge was wonderful; expertise from the game ranger and delicious food at the restaurant. All of the staff made our stay fabulous; they ensured we celebrated in style with a bottle of champagne left in our room on our first night along with candles and petals - very romantic, thank you. We were really impressed with this lodge and would recommend it highly.

My husband and I had a fantastic time at Kuzuko. The Lodges were beautiful and the food was excellent. The rangers were informative and enthusiastic. We saw elephants, lion, rhino, buffalo and cheetah over the course of 5 game drives. Our only suggestion would be a notice board informing guests of the times of game drives as they changed a couple of times during our stay and we were unaware of this! On the whole though, highly recommended. A fabulous end to our trip to South Africa.

We had a wonderful experience at Kuzuko lodge ,spacious lodges with stunning sunsets, good food ,,relaxing massage and three exciting safaris with Rodwell who loved to share his knowledge of the animals birds and plants. As others have mentioned ,this is not the place to easily spot the big five but we did see ,lions , a cheeta, zebra ,wilder beast, black back jackle, meerkats, monkey 's,water buffalo and many species of antelope, also elephants at a distance. The glossy starling and the goss hawk were the most memorable birds we saw as well as the small very colourful birds in plenty on the shrubs round the lodges.
We also enjoyed star gazing with Freddie who pointed out the constellations and the southern cross in the dark blue sky with the aid of a laser torch, and told tail of jealous gods. Thanks to an excellent team.

Room Tip: The lodges all looked similar and ours was excellent
