Spend two nights at the lodge, fantastic setting, fantastic friendly service, good food, not a fantastic variety of game. Unluckily we had terrible weather for game drives and my wife was on crutches. The lodge provided a wheelchair and it was fantastic. Game rangers forgot the birds and the plant life! If you don't have a lot of game, use the bird and plant life to keep everyone interested!

The only downside to this stunning lodge is the 40km gravel road to get there, not that it is dangerous, but it just feels never-ending....But when you get there, that is when relaxation kicks in big time!!

You must go on both the game drives per day. What you don’t see in the morning, you will definitely see on the afternoon drive. The rangers are all very professional and to the point. The head ranger "Riaan" who was designated to us, was fantastic, what a real nice guy and has so much patience with children. Well done Riaan! We saw all the animals except for the Leopard, but all your drives are embedded in our memories!

Then to the friendly staff of the lodge, this is what you call 6 star service. Also a big thank you to Sune, Rooms Divisions Manager, who always were eager to go the extra mile. The menu changes every night, the food was delicious. Just enough unless you struggle again with that extra pounds. From breakfast, to high tea and then dinner, wow! you will on the other hand pick up some kilo's, but it is worth it. The room was fantastic and it was very hot while we were there, but the air cons did their job. Rooms were clean and tidy at all times, sometimes at night after dinner the room staff left a chocolate or two, fantastic customer service.

The pool area was sufficient and so relaxing. Swimming in the pool with a view like that is rare. The spa treatments is also worth your while. All in all, this is a fantastic place to unwind, relax and rejuvenate yourself accompanied by your family, what more do you need. Put this Lodge on your Bucket List!

What an experience we shall never forget! The game drives were absolutely fantastic...we didnt want them to end! Our ranger Freddie, was a super star and made so much effort in explaining things about the animals that we saw. Elephants, rhino, lion, cheetah, zebra, buffalo, baboons and many antelope breeds were amongst the animals we saw and we were not disappointed in any way! The hotel is so unique in its setting and the food is delicious too. We were also pleased to know we had a choice for our evening meal too. The staff are very helpful and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a safari experience. Totally unforgettable.

The space and fastness of a high plato overlooking Eastern Cape Bushveld and home of the Addo Elephants. This Lodge is seriously into atmosphere and space, and if you are looking for that top of the world feeling, here it is in five star luxury.

Room Tip: All rooms have the most amazing views of vast lower lands.

A lovely place in the heart of a Game Reserve. Be warned that you might think you have gone the wrong way as you travel over 40km on an unmade road without passing any signs of life.....but once you arrive you know you have come somewhere special. The staff were exceptional, the food was fantastic given that you are miles away from anywhere and the scenery magical. This is not a Safari it is a Game Drive, they have limited animals because they lost a lot of them to the drought. But what they do have are wild so you will not always see everything. The Leopards of which there were only two have not been seen for months by anybody. But we saw the Lions, the Rhino, water buffalo and wildebeest, lots of Kudu and Springbok, monkeys and Baboons and yes we did see the Elephants and what's more they saw us! We were trapped by them for over 20 minutes and I can still see the bull Elephant staring right at me! This was a lovely end to our 2 week stay in South Africa. If you are looking for a retreat in the middle of nowhere where you can get a taste of what a Safari would be like then this is the place for you.

Room Tip: Ask for one on the lower edge with nothing between you and the Reserve.

If you're after a Game Lodge whilst in SA, this is probably the one! Stunning scenery, attentive staff, lovely clean accommodation, knowledgable rangers....I agree with the last reviewer, this isn't Longleat Safari Park and some game drives were short on animals but we saw an awful lot on most drives. Plenty of elephants and even a black rhino. Brilliant value for money.

Following a very long car drive from Wilderness....and a 40km drive along the R400 (gravel and dirt road), we arrived at the oasis that is Kuzuko. Following a seamless transfer to a game truck we were driven higher into the hills to the lodge itself. Our car was parked under a shaded garage complex. The chalet accomodation was very well done and they gave you a feeling of total privacy.the views from our verandah were stunning, giving a westerly view over the Addo parkland.....the following two sunsets we witnessed were breath taking.
The two game drives (one early morning and one at 5pm) were included in the cost of our stay as was breakfast, high tea and dinner.
This is no tarmac drive 'big 5' you see advertised and where, I'm sure, some reserves feed the beasts so they know exactly where to find them....or superglued to a branch!.....no, Kuzuko is about driving on rough tracks and often completely off road to track down and see some beautiful animals. Our rangers were both experienced trackers and very knowledgeable. We saw kudu, black rhino, springbok, wildebeest, elephant, zebra and buffalo, to name a few.
The only extras we paid for was alcohol and all at very reasonable prices. The staff are all very cheery and attentive.
The only negative I could mention is that their own website sells Kuzuko too short and goes only halfway in stating what you get for your money...which is a lot!!!
You'll see us again!!

Room Tip: Go for chalets 11-16 for sunsets
