“Wonderful Experience!”
Reviewed July 4, 2010

I've been going to Wildwood Crest for the last 28 years and have stayed at quite a few hotels. I found the Armada by the Sea to be the best out of all of them. It was very clean, all the people who work there are extremely friendly and helpful. The pool is nice and cleaned daily. The porch is very nice with plenty of lounging chairs, and also a overhang with tables & chairs to eat outside without being in the sun. They also have a beautiful grill that you can use to save money on eating out. We had two rooms with both adults and children and everyone loved the place. We are definitely going back next year!

I did alot of research on tripadvisor and am glad I chose the Armada. We are from upstate NY and did not want to go want to travel more than 5hrs for Memorial day weekend. Our OF KCHNETTE PVT BAL room was just the right size and price. The room was clean and the front desk staff were really nice, Parking is tight(fold in those mirrors)and limited but we managed just fine. there is a large clean open space/park next door with band pavilion. 1 thing I would have liked is to have sliding doors instead of single solid door to balcony. The boardwalk was only a 3 min drive and we were able to find parking for $5 for day.

Me and my boyfriend stayed for memorial weekend. The people at the front desk was very nice, didnt bother us. The maids were great! we had the room on the 5th floor withn the private balcony, it was so perfect. My boyfriend couldnt stop smiling when we got into the room because he loved it! The balcony was great, decent size room. Very clean! The only thing was the towels they left fuzzys on you. Not to dar from the boardwalk, a nice walk. I would keep coming back worth the money!

Been travelling to Wildwood/Wildwood Crest/North Wildwood since childhood and the Armada has to be the best place we've stayed in the Wildwoods. Nothing but good things to be said about the Armada. Reservations, check out and check in were extremely easy with no problems. What struck me was the cleanliness for the place. From the minute you woke up until late at night, there was always a staff member walking around the property picking up, putting things away, doing general maintenance and upkeep. This is a hotel that is really well looked after. The staff at the front desk are extremely nice and accommodating to whatever you needed. The rooms were spacious for my me, my wife, a 12 year old daughter, a 14 year old, and a 5 year old. Pool area is nice, but you have to get there early to grab a few lounge chairs before they are all taken. Short walk to the ocean across the street, not as bad as when we've stayed in Wildwood where the beach seems to be longer to the ocean. The Oceanview/Pool View balcony is not necessarily private, but when you sit down, you really can't see or hear the neighbors to the right or left of you. The only drawback is the distance to the boardwalk. It's a good 15 minute - 20 minute walk and at the end of a night walking the entire boards, it seems like forever to get back to your hotel. However, this is a bonus as you are far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the boards so it's generally tamer than staying in Wildwood proper. Finally, the price is reasonable for a Wildwood holiday stay. 230 a night for a 2 room, kitchenette that comfortably fit 2 adults and 3 children. If it wasn't booked solid the week we are heading back to Wildwood for vacation this year, I would stay here again for sure and have told family and friends about the enjoyable experience we had at the Armada. Stay here, you will be happy with your stay and at the money you spend for the room.

This is one of the best places to stay in Wildwood Crest. We stayed at the Armada in July 2008 for three nights and really enjoyed our stay. Last summer we spent seven nights in one of their oceanview rooms and it was just as great. The hotel rooms are very clean, the staff is accomodating, and the location is ideal. We really enjoy the close proximity to the beach, the fitness park that is between the Armada and the Port Royal hotel, and there is even a walk/bike route that you can take up to the Boardwalk. Their sundeck is also very nice. We'll have a couple of drinks there at night and enjoy lunch there most afternoons. The hotel is very family friendly and since we are in our early 30's it's nice to stay in this type of environment. We can't wait to bring our daughter here when she is a little older. It's always quiet at night when you're trying to sleep. Last summer we happened to be in Wildwood for the 4th of July and there was a concert in the fitness park that is adjacent to the hotel. It was a lot of fun-- they played music from Journey, Maroon 5, and lots of fun stuff, it was great having this right outside of our door! We're looking forward to booking our next stay at the Armada this summer!

My wife and my two kids (9 and 6) went on a mini vacation in mid August my only regret is we did could not stay a full week. The owners/staff were great and they looked forward to having my kids feed the fish every day in the pond outside there office every morning. The Armada is in a very nice location in the crest. the only drawback is its about 8/10 of a mile from the end of the boardwalk. But there is a bikepath that can get you there without crossing any streets. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had a great view of the ocean. There is a huge park across the street that is also very clean. The rooms are very clean. The pool is very nice and there is a huge sundeck on the second floor. The price is high but for wildwood its priced just right. I have been going to wildwood my entire life and this is the BEST place I stayed at. I look forward to spending a full week there this summer!!

Everything at the Armada was fantastic and the reason we have gone back a number of times.
The staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful.
The rooms are really attractive, have everything for a complete 'shore stay' allowing for entertainment in the rain (even a built in video player so bring a few favorites), a magnficent view, a well equipped kitchenette, and sparkling clean and abundant towels. The exterior sports a large and immaculate pool and well lit parking areas. The large second floor, ocean front deck is a great place to relax and read and sit with family to play cards and visit. The easy to use barbeque equipment augments the kitchen to make burgers and steak and with the Acme only a few blocks away, we saved a great deal on eating out.
The entire hotel property is meticulously clean; maintanence is clearly a priority.
We have now stayed there spring, summer and fall and found the Armada to be an excellent buy, a relaxing and friendly stay, and a place I would recommend to anyone who loves a clean, friendly, ocean front 'shore' retreat.
I find all of the family owners and other staff to be both caring and helpful no matter what the request or need. They are all exceptional hosts (including Gina!) and service personel are excellent as well.
The Armada = Great location! A really great place to stay!
For our family the Armada was a great find!
