This is one of the best places to stay in Wildwood Crest. We stayed at the Armada in July 2008 for three nights and really enjoyed our stay. Last summer we spent seven nights in one of their oceanview rooms and it was just as great. The hotel rooms are very clean, the staff is accomodating, and the location is ideal. We really enjoy the close proximity to the beach, the fitness park that is between the Armada and the Port Royal hotel, and there is even a walk/bike route that you can take up to the Boardwalk. Their sundeck is also very nice. We'll have a couple of drinks there at night and enjoy lunch there most afternoons. The hotel is very family friendly and since we are in our early 30's it's nice to stay in this type of environment. We can't wait to bring our daughter here when she is a little older. It's always quiet at night when you're trying to sleep. Last summer we happened to be in Wildwood for the 4th of July and there was a concert in the fitness park that is adjacent to the hotel. It was a lot of fun-- they played music from Journey, Maroon 5, and lots of fun stuff, it was great having this right outside of our door! We're looking forward to booking our next stay at the Armada this summer!

My wife and my two kids (9 and 6) went on a mini vacation in mid August my only regret is we did could not stay a full week. The owners/staff were great and they looked forward to having my kids feed the fish every day in the pond outside there office every morning. The Armada is in a very nice location in the crest. the only drawback is its about 8/10 of a mile from the end of the boardwalk. But there is a bikepath that can get you there without crossing any streets. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had a great view of the ocean. There is a huge park across the street that is also very clean. The rooms are very clean. The pool is very nice and there is a huge sundeck on the second floor. The price is high but for wildwood its priced just right. I have been going to wildwood my entire life and this is the BEST place I stayed at. I look forward to spending a full week there this summer!!

Everything at the Armada was fantastic and the reason we have gone back a number of times.
The staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful.
The rooms are really attractive, have everything for a complete 'shore stay' allowing for entertainment in the rain (even a built in video player so bring a few favorites), a magnficent view, a well equipped kitchenette, and sparkling clean and abundant towels. The exterior sports a large and immaculate pool and well lit parking areas. The large second floor, ocean front deck is a great place to relax and read and sit with family to play cards and visit. The easy to use barbeque equipment augments the kitchen to make burgers and steak and with the Acme only a few blocks away, we saved a great deal on eating out.
The entire hotel property is meticulously clean; maintanence is clearly a priority.
We have now stayed there spring, summer and fall and found the Armada to be an excellent buy, a relaxing and friendly stay, and a place I would recommend to anyone who loves a clean, friendly, ocean front 'shore' retreat.
I find all of the family owners and other staff to be both caring and helpful no matter what the request or need. They are all exceptional hosts (including Gina!) and service personel are excellent as well.
The Armada = Great location! A really great place to stay!
For our family the Armada was a great find!

We stayed here at the end of August at the suggestion of a friend. Everything was just about perfect except for the pool - YUCK! There was mildew growing on the bottom and sides. When we asked we were told they only shock it once a year! Blah!

I chose this motel because of previous reviews as I am very picky about cleanliness. The Armada was the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. Everything was fresh and even the stairwells were immaculate. I have previously stayed at one of the premier motels and was disgusted by the smell of mildew and had some clothing stole out of my room. You get a sense of security at the Armada as the maids are so friendly as well as the staff. You will not be afraid to leave anything in your room. We stayed on the 5th floor and had a beautiful view of the ocean and park across the way. It was enjoyable to sit on the balcony and watch the bikers, runners and walkers on the fitness path. We also had a great view on our balcony of a concert which was held in the park. I will be going back next year and hated to leave! We went out most nights and never had a problem finding a parking spot. THIS MOTEL IS AWESOME!

Don't stay here, there are plenty other hotels in Wildwood!
We stayed at the Armada for the past three years two times each season. And the service started to decline and this last time in August 2009 we were treated really poor, they won't allow two cars even though we were staying in a two room suite for $250/night, the management has no diplomacy and the staff at the from desk is right out nasty and arrogant. We found blood stains on the "fresh" towels and when we complained they said that it is not their fault, that it is the linen supply company :-(

This was our first trip to Wildwood Crest area and after reading some hotel/motel reviews, I was a litte fustrated. We decide to stay and the Aramda and it was great. Very clean which is important. The owner was friendly and helpful. We were on the third floor which had a great view of the ocean. I don't think you would be able to see over the dunes if you were on the first floor, but the Aramada has two sun decks on the second floor which had a grill and oceanview. The pool was clean but closed too early, I think around 7. The location is also great, there was a large green right next store and you could rent bikes and suries a short walk in either direction. Although the balancy is shared the Armada has a really nice indention in front of each room with two chairs, so if your sitting outside your room you can't really see if the people next to you if they are outside their room (very nice feature). The boardwalk was also fairly close, you can take the trolly for $2.50 pp each way or you could drive about a mile or so and pay to park in lots or on the street. The lots prices change depending on the day/time/weather so look around for the best price. The street parking have meters so bring your quarters. Overall, we had a great time in Wildwood area and will return to the Armada in the future.
