“Should be Number 1 in Wildwood”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

I have been going to Wildwood for 43 consecutive years and have stayed at many Resorts in Wildwoodcrest, I have brought me family including my Grandchildren when they became of age. We have never found a wonderful place as the Armada. The rooms are immaculate and the grounds including the pool are spotless and very inviting. The location great and Cenntenial Park is next door and provides entertainment that can be viewed from the Resort. What more can you ask for.The owners are there at all times are very friendly and respond to any request someone may make, I had 5 rooms for my family for at least 7 days and some for 10 days. It was never neccesary to call anyone for any reason. I rate this as a 5 for the reasons that I have stated.

Room Tip: Any room is great, We like the second floor.

This was our 1st time at this hotel and due to all the positive reviews we decided to try this hotel, we arrived at the hotel 2 hrs earlier then check in so we ate lunch and walked around till they called us on our cell, the owners are such friendly people that goes a long way in my book! our room was oceanfront with stove, fridge (full size), micro, all very clean !table& chairs & pull out couch & murphy bed ,it says it can sleep 6 but we had 4 and that was a squeeze, you can do it but it would be rough, bathroom small but clean , we just loved our balcony, so private and we did enjoy it as often as possible! housekeeping staff was nice the only grump of the group was lady/girl at the desk at night.
The pool was clean, my teens used it often and said it was warm as well, also location is fantastic for us! We only had a few short days here then we had to move down the street for a night which wasnt so great, I cant wait to stay here again and will do so in the future!

Have been staying at the Armada for a number of years, and would not go anywhere else to stay. It is all ladies that stay from Saturday to Saturday, the best week we have. Armada's staff is great to talk to and they will honor your any request you might have. Maid service ladies are great to talk to and the room is always clean and tidy.

The owners are very courteous and willing to do whatever it takes to make everyone's stay comfortable. We have been vacationing at the Armada By The Sea for years and would never consider vacationing anywhere else.I highly recommend the Armada for your next vacation. The facility is immaculate.. Beautiful pool and every room has a beautiful view of the ocean. We have found the staff to be friendly and have always performed an outstanding job cleaning the room. Again, nothing is too much for them to do for the customer. We were always greeted with a warm smile and a friendly greeting.

We are looking forward to our vacation in 2013.

The rooms are over priced for what you get. If you like to read and relax there is absolutely no where to sit comfortably. The only place to sit (and I've stayed in multiple different rooms) is a plastic covered piece of furniture that is incredibly uncomfortable. Some of the staff is night, but the woman who works at night is rude, nasty and is put out, no matter WHAT you ask her for. She is sarcastic and downright mean. The wifi does not work -- unless you go down to the lobby. This year, the sink in our room kept backing up. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING HERE!!!

Positives: Very friendly and helpful hotel staff; Location, Location, Location! You are steps away from the beach; Sit on your balcony, sip your coffee or wine, and enjoy the ocean view ( we were on the 5th floor -- highly recommend); Our one-bedroom suite had plenty of room; Relatively quiet area, quick drive to the boardwalk, but away from the hoopla; very clean!

Negatives: Beds and pillows not too comfortable; elevator takes forever; vinyl couch in a strange shape that your body can't possibly conform to; coffee maker, but no coffee; no shampoo, conditioner, etc. -- soap only; pool closes at 7:30 pm.

Still, the positives far outweigh the negatives. A great place for a family beach vacation. Can't beat the proximity to the sand and surf. We loved sitting on the balcony and looking out over the water, as well as 2 minute walk from our room to the beach!

Room Tip: No inside hallways, so everyone walks past your balcony area to get to their room. We liked our room...
