“large portions”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

We went on Thursday evening so we could get the prime rib special. Start off with the warm loaf of bread, salad and then a very large cut of prime rib. We had a second meal the next day with the leftovers. Anyone staying in the crest can smell the offerings of Little Italy as you walk up the street, and the food is as good (or even better) than it smells.

“Delicious! ”
Reviewed June 17, 2014 via mobile

Wonderful restaurant just steps away from where we stayed (Ala Moana). Our server was friendly, food was incredible, bread was fresh and warm. Our son's plate of spaghetti was enormous, as was my husband's prime rib (of which he ate every last bite!).

“Fabulous on Father's Day”
Reviewed June 15, 2014

We come to Wildwood this time every year and have been going to Little Italy for Father's Day for at least the last 5. The food and ambience never disappoints !! For the best value - try to go for the early bird specials - between 4-5pm. They are $14.95 and They include soup or salad, one of the entrees from the early bird menu and dessert (mini cannoli or vanilla or chocolate ice cream). Drinks are extra. We just returned from a great meal. They start you out with some of the best, warm, Italian bread in a basket that you can have with olive oil or butter. It is so good - that it is easy to fill up on that alone !! But there's more.... When given a choice of soup or salad, I always choose their specialty soup - the chicken tortellini soup - full of vegetables, cheese tortellini in a tasty chicken broth. I ordered the chicken Marsala from their early bird menu - it comes with a choice of either pasta or potatoes and mixed vegetables.i love my pasta - but when I come here - I get the roasted potatoes and the mixed vegetables - which are a well seasoned, well cooked combination of green beans, yellow beans and baby carrots. The chicken Marsala was nice, thin cuts of chicken breasts in a tasty brown Marsala sauce with a generous amount of little mushrooms (small, whole mushrooms, not sliced). There was enough to bring back for a lunch. My son had the chicken Marsala from the Early bird specials as well - and enjoyed it with his French fries. My husband had one of the daily specials for Father's Day - a large T-bone steak served Marsala style with the sauce and mushrooms $28) He enjoyed that as well and also got the roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables with his meal. A garden salad also came with his meal. Our waiter, Eric - was attentive and timely. The rest of the staff was also perfectly attentive to cleaning up our dishes when we were done, without us feeling rushed. The restaurant is also nicely decorated inside. They have pull up parking outside encircling the restaurant, albeit the spots are a little tight. Overall, it is no wonder that this restaurant rates #1 in Wildwood Crest. We will definitely continue to make it a Father's Day tradition !!

“Excellent Food - A Little Loud”
Reviewed June 15, 2014 via mobile

We had a very good dinner at Little Italy. Located just a block back from the Boardwalk, this restaurant always exudes a pleasant Italian smell of garlic & olive oil. Our quoted 15 minute wait was less than 5. We were promptly greeted by our server and provided with a nice basket of 2 small warm loaves of Italian bread with sesame seeds. Service was fast & attentive, yet we were not rushed along at all. The restaurant is BYOB so we brought a bottle of wine & were promptly provided wine glasses. We tried the fried ravioli appetizer which was very good with an excellent marinara sauce. The salad is served family style with a house balsamic dressing. There was plenty of salad for some of us to have a second helping. The main courses were excellent. I had shrimp fra diavlo. The sauce was one of the best I have tasted & was not excessively spicy. My wife had mussels with linguine in a marinara sauce. She loved it. My son had angel hair pasta with marinara sauce & he gobbled it all up. My father had veal with shrimp, crab meat, & mushrooms in a white sauce along with a side of pasta. He actually had leftovers to take home which never happens! My daughter had a kids size plate of tortellini with sausage. She actually finished her whole meal which never happens! The only downside is that we were seated in the back room which was smaller and definitely louder than the main dining room. There was a large party of about 20 college-age kids in the room and another large group of families that had a whole table of 10 kids. So, that may have contributed to the noise level. But overall, the food & service were excellent and we will definitely return the next time we are in Wildwood.
