We've been a regular to one of the other Pizza shops in Wildwood for some time, but decided to give Sal's a try this time. We certainly weren't disappointed. The pizza crust a Sal's is true New York style (the pizza makers have Brooklyn accents), and the sauce, cheese and toppings are delicious. We even now know what the secret ingredient is in the crust - I just can't reveal it. But there is no question you're never far from a good pizza on the south end of the Crest, whether it's Sal's or the other guy's.

We phoned in an order & were told it would be ready to pick up in 5-10 minutes. Got there 10 minutes later & had to wait another 10 minutes. Our order consisted of a single sub!

While we waited, a staff member was taking a credit card phone order & were demanding the customer's billing address. The customer was balking at giving them their full address, which I totally understand since that is 1) NOT information normally requested, and 2) identity theft is rampant. Another staff member got on the phone with the customer, was impatient with them, then when pushed, admitted that they did NOT need the whole address, just the numbers (e.g. street number & zip). Good grief!! Could have saved a lot of time if he'd just told the customer that in the first place Then after the call ended, the staff member proceeded to complain about what a paranoid freak the customer was being, with us -- customers -- standing right there! Really unprofessional & ignorant.

The sub, a cheesesteak, that my husband & I finally got, was fresh, but very bland. We won't be going back.

Always hesitant about pizza places outside of NY but the people we were on vacation with insisted that the pizza here was good and they were right. The crust was just right, not too soggy, not overly crispy but a good crunch and it did not fall apart. The sauce was good and the cheese was good. As you can see from the picture, my son approved as well! Will stop in here again on our next visit to Wildwood.

Have been coming to Sal's for the past few years and will continue to come. Always looking for a good pizza place for a shore community well Sal's has very good pizza, tasty, good crust and sauce. Reasonable prices, fairly sized seating area, good service, clean and a pretty big menu. Have never tried all the regular italian dishes but have looked at some coming out of the kitchen and they look very good too. I would definitely recommend. Try the Gelato it's homemade by his wife very good.

This restaurant is a must every weekend we come down to Wildwood Crest. The family that operates the restaurant comes from Sicily via Brooklyn and every meal is true to that heritage, whether it be pizza, ravioli, linguini with clam sauce, veal parmigiana, or chicken florentine. Every friend and family member we have taken there loves the meals. The genuine gelato and homemade desserts, including cannoli, are wonderful. Occasionally, when busy, the service can be delayed, but the meals and desserts are worth waiting for. Heartily recommend it.
