Average to poor all the way around. Dated interior however they have tried to update the furniture and carpet, but the bedroom area is small, the main area is compact as well, not much room to be in there except for being on the beds. Says it fit up to 6 but our 2 adults and 3 littles ones just fit. The AIN type room had a tiny bathroom where the door barely made the toilet to close it, there was NO room to put your toiletries, there's one pedestal sink and another sink outside the toilet room with about 3" on each side. Just too crowded. Aside from that the whole hotel needs maintenance, paint has scuff marks all over, the shower had mold in corners. There were grease splatter marks on the kitchen walls. The view was partial ocean but faced another hotel with a bazillion people looking straight at you. Very disappointed. Additionally, when we checked in our room had not been cleaned, there was hair all over the sink, there was something mysteriously brown in the toilet. The beds were made and towels were there so the maids just skipped the bathroom entirely. So gross! There's more but that's enough to complain about, find another option.

Mari: I'm sorry you did not find our accommodations to your liking. During high season, our hotel is sold-out daily and our goal is to ensure a pleasant experience for all our guests. I will share your comments with my staff at our weekly meeting.

If weather was nicer, this would have been more then perfect weekend.it's kind of like fishing. Good days of fishing and this was a case of bad day of fishing as the sun rarely shined. Pool was fabulous. Very convenient to beach access. Would return for sure.

Room Tip: Quite a hike to boardwalk. Drive not bad though. Plenty of parking.

This was a great hotel besides some of the issues we had like when we got there it was around 3 and we had to wait a hour for our room to be finished, ill say the room number so it can be fixed for the next people 401 the bathroom door did bot lock and then the balcony light didn't work, but the pool was amazing, rooms perfect, great staff, and amazing restaurant best bacon egg and cheese sandwiches lol, they had cool events everyday but the only issue was just that the movie night was always kid movies nothing for teens or adults, but i didn't like how the elevators were small ill recommend this place to everyone that wants a good time

This is our first trip to Wildwood,NJ.Finding a decent hotel was a challenge.I had chosen El Coronado because it's proximity to the beach and nice pools for my nieces and nephew. The room was "OK" but we were on the second floor next to the pool so it was very noisy and every body can see us from the outside. So the privacy was not great. We have to close the curtains so people can not see us walking around in our nightgown.Th next day we left to go whale watching and when came back around 6pm the bed in the living area was made but the bed in the bedroom was not. The floor was not vacuum for the days we were there. The AC was set at 70. Barely any air going to the bedroom.Always feel warm and "stuffy".Overall the building looks old and tired. Needs painting.Carpet too old and dirty.Back door and pool entrance not properly secured.Left unlocked at all times. It suppose to use room key to enter but locks does not work.No entertainment. We were looking forward to see the movie "Frozen" by the pool with the kids, no movie shown. The 90's dance nightout, did not happen either. So I don't know why they post this activities but did not happen. This is a hit and miss vacation for us because we were unfamiliar to the area. I considered a "missed". This is place is not for us.

Room Tip: Higher floors/away from the pool side too noisy

Hello 1st Time:

As noted in each unit, our housekeeping personnel will not make a bed if personal belongings are upon it. During inclement weather we show our guest movie-of-the-day in our Fiesta Room...and we have never had a 90's dance night. In future should you permit us to host you again, please direct all questions to my Front Desk Staff...they stand ready to assist you.

This was our first stay at El Coronado. It is by far one of the better hotels in the crest. Room was clean and beds comfortable. The pool was the best!!! Only gave 4 stars due to the super SLOW wifi and the air conditioning in the room. When we got to the room the air conditioning was off. I mean really??? Its the middle of July!!! There is a sticker on the thermostat that warns not to set the temp below 69 degrees or the unit will freeze. Again, its the middle of July so it needs to be cranking on full blast. What we ended up getting was a light cool breeze from the vents above the closet. I have to wonder if the thing shut off in the middle of the night. We kept waking up sweating. A ceiling fan would have helped. Location is great. Its about 1 -1/2 miles from the boardwalk so its quiet. Beach is nice as well. Very well maintained. Unit comes with pots/pans, dishes/glasses, and cutlery. Also, has dish soap. You will need to bring napkins and paper towels. Balcony is nice to hang out on while having a beer or glass of wine. Would go back again but will bring a fan or two along with us!!

Room Tip: Boardwalk is a short car ride. There is a parking lot at the beginning across from a bike rental spot. Lot is $10 weekends and $6 weekdays. The guys at the bike rental place is super nice and will give you a good deal.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Did you report your air conditioning to the Front Desk. We contract a local company for this service. Also, please know we have just finished installing a brand-new WiFi system. Our guest's are now enjoying it's speedy-quickness everywhere in the building.
