We decided to stay at the Waikiki with our two grandsons this year and they had a ball. The boys enjoyed the pool and we were able to watch them as well as the ocean. Our room was clean, staff very freindly and helpful. We had an chance to eat breakfast at the rooftop restaurant and the food was good and priced right. We decided to to extend our stay, they were booked, but made accommodations for us for one more night. Parking tight when coming in late at night. No clocks in rooms. Not complaining, we will be back next year.

We've visited Wildwood Crest for many years and this was our first stay at the Waikiki. What a wonderful four day vacation!
Our room was on the 5th floor and had a spectacular view of the ocean. It was very clean (recently updated), had a nice size kitchen, with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and plenty of dinnerware if you intend to do your own cooking. The bathroom was a little tight but very clean and also recently updated. The air conditioning unit worked well despite the rooms' southern exposure. The pool was very nice and directly below us. Frankly I don't understand why people would come to the beach and spend their time at the pool.
Every morning we went for a long walk on the beach and by the time we returned, our maid "Sandra" had our room made up. The service here is excellent.
There are two common areas on the spacious 2nd level deck where guests can tan lying on the lavish lounge chairs, barbecue on two grills, and sit at several tables eating their meal.
The hotel is directly across the street from the entrance to the beach - very convenient if you're carrying a lot of beach gear. The beach is very wide so be prepared for a little hike to be near the water. There is also free hotel parking but the spaces are a little tight. However that's common at all the area hotels.
We are definitely returning next year.

I went on vacation with My wife, two little girls and I. We booked 4 days (Thurs. to Sun.) at The Waikiki Ocenanfront Inn in June (was recommended by my brother who stayed there at the beginning of the summer). We decided to come a day earlier on Wed so we called that Monday and got a room with no problem. We got there at around 4pm and we were checked in by one of the staff (nice enough). The rooms seemed nice, new kitchen areas and bathsrooms. The first room wasn't as clean as the second and both rooms could have used some paint in some areas, but over all the rooms were good. The Motel was in OK shape some areas need work some cracking here and there. The staff was very pleasant, parking was no problem always seemed to find a spot. The pool and lounge area (Cabanas Included) were well taken care of by the staff, would have liked if the lounge area were cleaned more often but that's just nitpicking and the grills seemed like new.The pool is great, I seen the staff cleaning it every morning, and as far as the restaurant on the 6th floor we never sat to eat there just coffee and things to go,but the staff was very friendly. The best part of The Waikiki Ocenanfront Inn for me was the access and veiw of the beach.Very convenient to be right across the street and the entrance to the beach is right by the parking lot so getting the beach stuff in and out of the car was a breeze especially with two kids running around.Overall this was a pleasant stay and would go back and would recommend it to friends and family

You can't beat the beachfront location and service provided at this hotel. Everyone from the front desk clerk who checked us in, to the man who got us the luggage cart, to the maid who cleaned our room was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. You're also sure to enjoy the pool (with plenty of chairs) and the two sun decks.

It appears as if the management/owners are undertaking renovations. The bathroom and main room in our room (512) was new tile. The new tile and upgrades made the other portions of the room look very shabby. I do understand budgets don't necessarily allow for complete overhauls at once, but just be advised that you will notice a difference.

I think the only disappointment with the whole stay was the noise level. As stated before, we stayed in room 512. It was located right next to the laundry room and at the top of the stairs. The door and walls were thin and allowed a lot of noise in. That was disappointing, considering the bedroom was on the other side of the wall from the laundry room.

The bottom line? Go for the friendly people, the value, and the location. And as long as you aren't planning a lot of time in your room, you'll be thrilled.

Room Tip: If you are traveling with little ones and you need quiet, don't select room 512. Conversely tho...

My boyfriend and I went down on a whim with out making reservations, after dealing with a lot of rejection and outrageous prices in North Wildwood, we ventured back towards Crest, weary of the price quotes and customer service we'd be given. To my surprise the Waikiki was affordable, had wonderful service, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for an Oceanfront stay, with no noise and a great view this is the place for you! I was very surprised at how clean, and kept the inn was, after many stays in North Wildwood in dingy overpriced lodging, I had very low expectations for this place. I was wrong, way wrong and my boyfriend agrees that this is a place to go back to. The pool is big, kid friendly and heated, grills were available to cook on, and the sun deck was absolutely stunning. I will recommend the Waikiki to anyone who is looking for a relaxing affordable stay.

Our family stayed here the last weekend in June and we all enjoyed our stay. Nice location right on the beach, quiet, family atmosphere. I called to add a night to the beginning of our stay and although they did not have our room for the rest of the weekend they could give us, they put us in a comparable room for the night. But what I was impressed with is that the room we were moving too the next day, they made sure to clean it first thing and told me to call in the morning when we were ready to move. It was indeed ready right away and it was an easy move all around 9:00 am so we didn't have to wait around to change rooms all day and were able to enjoy the beach! Both rooms we found clean. The owners and all staff were very nice. My only complaint is about their upstairs cafe. They said they were open for breakfast and lunch, however our second day we went up for lunch and found it closed. :(
