The Wildwood Crest beaches are lined with hotels and you might feel overwhelmed with options, but the Saratoga Inn is a great choice at a small price. It's a small family hotel just steps to the beach. When we booked this hotel via phone 2 months in advance, they gave us our room number right away, however when we got there, someone was already checked into that room, so they upgraded us to a suite for free. The suite had a living room, kitchen, and bedroom - full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, 2 tvs, couch, the works! It was clean and comfortable. It's an older motel, but everything worked better than fine. At night, fireworks went off a few blocks away, which we had a front row seat for. We went for Irish Weekend in September when most hotels have a 3-night minimum stay, but the Saratoga Inn was accommodating and let us stay for 1 night at a great price. And best of all, the staff was by far the NICEST staff I have ever met in my travels. I never knew a great staff could make such a difference but no matter what, I will be staying there again. They even had a basket of cookies on our way out! A++ to the Saratoga Inn.

Room Tip: Rooms on the north side have a view of the fireworks! Rooms on the east (rooms 201, 202) are 1 bedroom suites.

This hotel is located 1 hotel away from the beach at end of the block. They have a great little breakfast and lunch place with good prices, they also sell little odds and ends you might have forgotten. There is a laundry room on property. They have a very nice pool and very well kept. The rooms were very clean and the staff is great The only down fall.the furniture and rooms can be updated you can tell they haven't been updated in a while. It is still clean and a nice place to stay...

Room Tip: a good place to stay for the weekend

My family was planning on spending our vacation the end of the sumer of 2011 at the Saratoga Inn and had enjoyed it previously two years prior but please don"t have an emergency situation that causes a cancellation of your reservation. The only reason we did not spend our vacation at the Saratoga Inn was because Hurricane Irene was coming. We had to cancel due to the mandatory evacuation. The owner at first refused to refund my deposit. I was not informed previously that there was a no refund policy. Finally after many phone calls and a few words on the phone I did get a 50% refund. I took the half refund but am not happy with the situation. I believe they took advantage of the situation and will never go back.

This place could be great. Location is excellent, the exterior of the building is quaint and the pool area is large. The downfall is the rooms. The rooms are in desperate need for a renovation. The rugs were old, really old. There were cracks on the walls, the bathroom tile and tub were cracked/chipped and the furniture was out of the 70's. With that said, if you are just looking for a place to crash, this place will work for you. However, if you are interested in some of the comforts of the 21st century, stay elsewhere.
