First time here in years. Many years, not the same as when it was owned by the original Urie family. Doesn't even come close. Food was so so. Felt like we were in a big banquet hall. Not very welcoming comfy feeling. Times change. Don't think we will go back. So sad that they are still using the Urie name. Urie's was great! Hope everyone knows its not the original owners and not to expect what it once was.

It was a toss up between Uries and Boathouse (a good tip, they share a parking lot) for one of our dinner nights. After a day of s running around the boardwalk and the beach and the pool...we forgot to make reservations, and neither would take them after 3PM day of (another good tip). So we gambled and picked Urie's. It paid off, they seated our family of 5 almost immediately. Server was great, kids menu was what you would expect. The server brought the kids stuff out first as requested, and made good recommendations from menu, I had the Urie's seafood bake. The lobster was good size and everything was tasty. It is a little work cracking and extracting, but it was worth it. Kids loved the soft serve ice cream in their video game room.
2 nights later we met up with friends and decided to do it again. Had the garlic blue crabs. Again a lot of work, but tasty. This was a little too much work, not enough crab, but what was there was very good. All in all of you are spending a week in the Woods, definitely put this place on the radar.

My family has purchased fish from Urie's Seafood Fish Market on Lansdowne Ave. in Philadelphia since I was a child. We moved from Philadelphia in 1952. When they opened a restaurant on Rio Grande Ave in Wildwood the name was instantly recognizable. We have been eating there ever since. Great seafood and reasonable prices is a great formula for success.

Been to Uries many times in the past, but not in the last 10 years or so.....sat outside and it was delightful....the food was good, the service a bit slow, but accepatable...live music (guitar) as nice and not overbearing....great for families....inside seating looked almost empty (Tuesday night in July)....outside a bit of a wait....just what one would expect on the shore

Uries was a favorite spot when our parents would take us to the beach when we were young. Now as an adult it still holds the same magic as it did then. The magic of the sea with its beautiful setting and delicious food!
