“Can't Say Enough!”
Reviewed July 30, 2014

Been vacationing in Wildwood my whole life, and used to love having breakfast at the Surfside Restaurant in Wildwood Crest, until they tore it down! Was happy to find out about this "replacement". All the good reviews are accurate!

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and appreciated. Were seated immediately and had an offer of coffee within minutes...and it was good and fresh.

From reading reviews on this site, I knew I wanted to try the Lemon Ricotta pancakes, and they did not disappoint. Even my hubby loved them and he usually dislikes "unusual" foods!

Daughter had their famous French Toast (a staple at the original restaurant) and really enjoyed it!

Hubby had eggs, homefries and bacon and devoured them.

One of our favorite parts of the meal was the bacon! It was prepared perfectly - crispy but not burned - and wasn't limp and fatty!

We spoke with the owner (after seeing his caricature on the table ad) and he stopped back often to thank us for coming and to check how things tasted. Much appreciated!

The employees here really seemed to be enjoying their jobs, and it showed! They were pleasant and smiling the whole time we were there, and more than one checked to see if we needed more coffee or anything else.

The cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive. Even the window sills inside were clean and the syrup dispenser was not sticky at all!

If I were forced to find something that could use improvement, it would be the restrooms. While very clean and well maintained, they are very small and very hot! Not that you spend a lot of time there, but it was the only thing that did not impress me about this restaurant!

This was probably the best breakfast restaurant I have ever been to, both in terms of service and food!

“Great breeakfast”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

Went here based on other reviews, as it was a bit out of the way from where we stayed. Well worth it. Breakfast is excellent; the staff is very friendly; the chef is fun. Don't miss this place if you are in the Wildwoods.

“Fun breakfast!”

This was a really fun breakfast. It really felt like a 50's diner and everyone was very friendly. Service was great and the food was really creative for a diner! We loved it. Come early to miss the crowd.

“Great breakfast!”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

Wonderful diner. Great service from the owners. Great breakfast! We ate here every morning. It gets busy, especially on the weekends. But the wait, even in the hot sun is well worth it. Delicious. We wouldn't think of going anywhere else for breakfast. We highly recommend the "Green Eggs & Ham". It's a layer of home fries, topped with 2 eggs, a slice of ham and then pesto sauce. Really good! Also, the bowls of home fries, chipped beef and fried eggs, with spinach, tomatoes and feta ("Greek") or with Andouille sausage and cheddar cheese ("Cajun") are excellent. The John Family do a great job and they make you feel so very welcome.

The Surfside West Diner is a great place to eat. I had breakfast their today with my family. The food is so good. Not fancy but all comfort food to enjoy. The staff is so sweet. The wonderful people who own is nice place is Jeanne and Micheal really put in 100%. Believe me you will not be disappointed. The Diner is a great place for children and parents. The kids menu is just enough food for them to fill their tummy's . So please give it a try for breakfast or lunch. Their hours are 6:30 am to 1:00 pm. The Diner is also super cute inside with a wonderful beach picture on the wall and very clean.
