We ended up here because almost everything else was shut down for the season. What luck, the service was prompt, friendly and professional. The food was exceptional. The ribs were tender, succulent. The swordfish was fresh, moist and perfectly cooked. The grilled veggies were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the sweet potato French fries were the best we've ever had. Portions were just right. The variety of woods used in the grilling process imparted just the right depth of flavor. By far one of the best meals we have had in wildwood.

How's this for something different? None of the tables had knives as part of their place set. One fork tucked into a nicely folded napkin and that's it. Naturally our server brought us two on request. The grilled shrimp and chorizo sausage appetizer was tasty but a small portion. There were 3 shrimp and 3 slices of sausage. While Q Fire has a Portuguese flair to it there is no appetizer of chorizo on the menu. Our server, a very nice girl named Brooke, recommended the baby back ribs which were tender enough but needed a side of bbq sauce which she brought on request. The ribs were good but much better was the rib eye steak which was charred perfectly. Order it medium or medium rare. It's set on a bed of rice whose flavor was enhanced by caramelized onions and a port wine reduction sauce. The steak was not an overly generous cut for the $28 price. One more mention - to open up they put out a dish of red and black chips with a clumpy gray hummus to use as a dip but it's too dry and flavorless. I livened it up with a shot of tabasco sauce. We may return and give them another try.

This is a story that started out awkward, but ended on a good note because management seems to be on top of things. We were in Wildwood end of season, after most of the summer help had returned to college - so at first the service was slow and we contemplated leaving. We didn't want to because the menu and drinks sounded good - and we loved the rooftop deck - but we were starving!

The manager must have noticed us getting impatient and more than made up for the slow beginning. He got us a new waitress and basically made sure we were catered to quickly. Our drinks were good, and all of our food was fantastic.

For starters, they brought us blue corn chips with a delicious black bean dip. My friend - who hates stuff like that - LOVED it! We got two appetizers, the crab puffs and fries, and mozzarella sticks, both of which were cooked to perfection and delicious. The crab cakes were full of crab meat and cooked perfectly. We saved the fries to eat with our burgers/sandwiches. I ordered the Q Barbecue Pork, which was fantastic, the sauce was tangy and good and the meat had a nice flavor. The cole slaw was good (everyone at the table liked it). My friend ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, which was fresh and good, and my other friend ordered a hamburger, which was also cooked perfectly. The fries were DELICIOUS!

I had a blueberry mojito which was really good and different, my friend had a berry mojito, other friend had a lemon drop which she loved, and the fourth friend, a custom cocktail that he always gets.

The fried cheesecake dessert is to die for.....

The friends we went with went back there another time b/c they liked it so much.

I found the prices to be pretty reasonable, especially compared with a lot of other places in the area.

We will be coming back here again as there is lots of other stuff that we'd like to try on the menu.
