Silver Bullet Tours
Reviewed August 23, 2011

I have been on the Silver Bullet before& loved it, but when I took my family, Mon, 8/22, it was extremely frightful. The skies became dark, the water unbelievably rough. The front of the boat actually rose from the water. There were quite a few children on board. Kids were crying, adults were scared to death. They kept going further & further out, without stopping. The dolphins even had the common sense to stay low in the water. This guy should have turned back. Two people said they thought we were going to be killed, as this also crossed my mind. The mate wasn't as chatty as usual. This was a real problem. They should have refunded or give a rain check, but they afraid to lose a little money.

This was the best thing we did all summer. We saw so many dolphin it was like Sea World in the wild. Captain Eric and the crew were friendly and full of information about the area and the wildlife. We also saw a pair of Osprey nesting and the Cape May Point Lighthouse as we cruised the Cape May beach front. The captain finished the trip by cooling us down with a super fast run then brought some water over the boat. I would recommend this adventure for any family it was fantastic! We will do this again next year!!

What a blast! There are dozens of whale and dolphin watching tours in the area, but how many are on a 65' speedboat?? Great crew, reasonably priced, a must-do with younger kids. You get to see some great sights, get splashed while flying over the waves, and some comfortable cruising in between. We all had a great experience that we won't soon forget. Went with a 3 and 7 year old. Reservations are smart as when we arrived there were dozens waiting and hoping for a spot on the boat.

We chose the 4:30pm tour and the boat was only half full. We chose to sit at the front of the boat. The Captain provided interesting information about the area as we left the dock. The scenery was beautiful and once we reached the area where the dophins play, the Captain stopped the boat and we spent nearly 30 minutes watching the dolphins entertain us. We spotted a huge jelly fish that must have been six feet in diameter!

There were light snacks and beverages available for purchase as well as a bathroom on board for emergency use during the slower parts of the tour.

Look for $3 off per person coupons on the attraction website or on brochures at area hotels and restaurants. Bring a light sweatshirt, it gets cool at high speeds. The Captain gave us the option to move to the back as we headed inland. He manuevered the boat from side to side playfullly so that we got plenty of spray and came back soaked! Bring a towel along if you plan to enjoy the water spray.

My two youngest girls purchased reasonably priced ($7) stuffed dolphins as souvenirs on the boat. The trip lasted 90 minutes and we enjoyed every minute of it.
