We go to Limiani a lot and I am surprised (and sorry) that I have never provided a review of it before. It is always excellent or very good.

Tonight, there were four of us for dinner. We began by sharing the Pikilia Spread, a very large platter of speeds, salads and breads: a yogurt-cucumber spread, red caviar, a potato and garlic) spread, olives, feta cheese, salad and pita bread and other bread.

I had the broiled new england main course, which consists of lobster tail, shrimp, scallops and flounder stuffed with crab meat. It was great and very tasty.

I cannot say enough about this place.
I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Heard about this place from friends. Went to see for ourselves. It definitely lived up to its reputation.

Fresh seafood. Sometimes hard to find at other restaurants these days. The PEI mussels were plump and the sauce was delicious and went well with the crustini. The crab cake appetizer was cooked to perfection. Nicely done. The fried calamari was rings only, which my wife liked. She's not a tentacle eater.

The whole Bronzini was done nice and tender with a crispy skin. Also, the sesame crusted tuna was black and blue, the way I asked for it. VERY TASTY!!

All in all, another great restaurant in Westfield!

Went on a weeknight around 7:30 with my wife. The location in Westfield is amongst the town's retail district, which is a mix of hometown stores and restaurants and some higher end retail. General parking lots where it's free after 4pm are very close (just drive around the block and you'll see a couple of them. It wasn't crowded (maybe 4-6 couples). The Maitre' D was nice and seated us in a nice spot by the window. They do offer a few tables out in front on their sidewalk, but we decided to dine indoors. The waiter was attentive, pleasant and receptive to our needs. Now onto the food. Overall the food was very good. As is usually the case, some dishes were better than others. The crabcakes were delicious. A smooth golden brown outside with a tasty crab filled center. It wasn't loaded with jumbo lump chunks, but very good nonetheless. The appetizer version came with (2) cakes that were about the size of a hockey puck with a roumelade and fresh green garnish that blended well. The soups were excent. The lobster bisque was tasty and had tender chunks of lobster in it. The clam chowder was loaded with tender clams, making for the type of favorabe clam to potato ratio that you don't often see. Speaking of clams, the steamed clams in wine/garlic sauce were superb. Each clam was tender and not a speck of sand, providing for a delightful dish that didn't stay on the plate very long at all. That can't be said for the calamari. While we've certainly had worse, the pieces were a bit oily. There were a several that kind of stuck together to form large balls of calamari...flavor wise, it seemed like it may have needed some salt and pepper. For an entree we shared the New England Bake, with a modest sized lobster tail, crab topped shrimp and scallops and crab stuffed flounder, all served with lemon wedges in straining cloth and drawn butter...it seemed a little unevenly cooked...the shrimp and lobster were a bit tough while the scallops seemed a bit under cooked for our tastes. The fish was ok. It wasn't a really bad dish or anything, but it's not something we'd order again. We didn't have room for dessert, despite there being some interesting options.

Overall, I'd say Limani was a good dining experience and we're glad we found out about it. We look forward to going again and exploring some of the other items on the menu in hopes of finding more "keepers". I could see us eventually finding several dishes that we enjoy enough to make Limani a place we return to a few times a year.

Ratings: For food, I give it a 3.75 out of 5 stars, for value, I give it 3 out of 5 stars. For service, I give it 4 out of 5 stars (keeping in mind that it wasn't crowded).

P.S. It's BYOB so bring wine if you wish. They have glasses and such for you.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with friendly, attentive staff. We all enjoyed our well-prepared, fresh fish dinners. The dinner was accompanied by more than amply veggies and potatoes. Overall, a very nice dining experience.
