As Starwood members, we often find ourselves at Sheratons, and they can be a mixed bag. But the Lincoln Harbor Hotel is excellent. We were in town for a wedding in Hoboken (and it also happened to be July 4th). We stayed one night.

Pros:
- Easy to get to. We found this right away, right off the highway.
- Location: Perfect if you are visiting people in Hoboken. We also want to come back and check out the shuttle/ferry service (they will shuttle you to the nearby ferry boats that go to NYC.)
-Decor: The decor here is really close to the Westin standard. All the room (at least the one we had) are newly renovated, we could almost smell the paint drying.
- Bed: Nice big king bed, very comfortable.
-Room size: Its a suite with a couch and a nice big desk.
- View: We had an excellent view of the New York skyline. We enjoyed that quite a bit.
-Parking: Easy to park- the lot is right on the water! I couldn't believe the waste of real estate.

Cons:
- They couldn't give us a late check out (understandable since it was the 4th), and as a result we had to wander the streets of Hoboken until 3pm when the wedding began.
-We put our bathing suits on, went down to the pool, only to discover there was no hot tub.
-The restaurant. We tried to go here for breakfast and even though half of the tables were empty the hostest kept us waiting, without explanation. Eventually we left, since the prices were outrageous anyway. If you don't mind getting in your car or a cab, head into Hoboken to eat. Numerous restaurants, especially lots of good brunch options.

We booked our room through Priceline. I called the hotel the day before our trip to confirm our reservation and was told that they did not have a reservation for us. I promptly called Priceline and they called the hotel and told me to call the hotel back in 30 minutes. I talked to Liz at the front desk and she calmed my fears and said that Priceline was sending the reservation back through and that everything would be fine. We initially had booked a room with 2 double beds and Liz said those rooms only have a partial view and she gave us the option to book a King room with a pull-out sofabed. We decided to take the King Room with the view..........and it was so worth it! The room has a large picture and I loved keeping the curtain open to wake up to the view of the Manhattan skyline. One morning when I woke up and looked out the window I saw a cruise ship coming up the Hudson River.

The room had a small refrigerator, microwave, and 2 TV's (one in the bedroom and one in the sitting room) It had a large desk, plenty of closet space, and a small safe in the closet. The bathroom was large. Our friends were staying at the Affinia near Madison Square Garden and you couldn't turn around in their bathroom. There were 2 days that the housekeeper didn't leave enough towels, but we called the front desk and they were promptly delivered to our room. My daughter used the swimming pool and the workout room. We couldn't get good internet reception in the room, so we had to go to the lobby a few times to use our laptop. It is free service in the lobby.

Location: The reason we stayed in Weehawken was to save money. We used the NJ Transit buses each day. The bus station was only 1/2 block from the Hotel. The front desk was very helpful in bus schedules. During the week the bus runs from 6 am and you can return until 1:30 am. On the weekend 0750 to around 1150pm. It cost 3.20 for the public bus. There is a water taxi that stops right in front of the hotel, but it cost around 8.00 dollars each one way trip and for a family of 4, we decided to use the bus.
We also used the light rail system to go to Hoboken for an afternoon. It is about 2 blocks from the hotel. A very easy walk.

The hotel is basically in a business district. You will find a Ruth Chris Steakhouse, a Houlihans, and there is a food court in a office complex about 1 block from the hotel. The food court had a Subway, Chinese food, Hamburger place, and a Pizza place.

I know this is a long review of the hotel and if you have any other questions just let me know. Have a wonderful trip.

I picked the Sheraton because of its location on the Hudson, and we would be able to view the Macy's fireworks via our room or outside. A VERY BIG PLUS for the hotel was that they checked each car that came into the parking lot to ensure they were a guest, and also ensuring each guest had a parking spot. Another plus was that they have a small walkway, which was packed with guests to view the fireworks. Not as bad as Hoboken last year, as we were crammed like sardines.
I had booked my room a couple of weeks in advance, and received a decent rate for the date. Unfortunately, I received a corner room in the West Wing, but directly in front of the elevator AND ice machine! They were sold out so I couldnt change my room :( Luckily, the room was quite large with a living room/work area where the door was, so we didnt hear the elevator or ice machine at night. We did, however, hear the air conditioner, which was right next to our bed and VERY NOISY! They said they are going through a multi-million dollar renovation, and I'm not sure if I was in a renovated room, but it still needs lots of work!
For Julty 4th, I think I paid a reasonable price, with parking (A BIG DEAL for July 4th and the Macys Fireworks). For other occasions, I would've stayed at one of the hotels in Hoboken- more restaurants, easier access to the Path to NY, much nicer decor, etc.

Nice hotel with the best steak house opposite. Nice location and next to river crossing. about $4 dollars each. It was a bit annoying if you wanted to come back and glam up for the evening but if you were the type to bed early and who like a peacful sleep then this is perfect for you. Once you crossed the river you can catch a free shuttle bus to the main nyc

My wife and two daughters stayed for 4 days at the Sheraton in the NJ side across the Hudson and were impressed by the friendliness of the staff. They helped us save money at one of the local restaurants by giving us a voucher. In addition, their shuttle service was also very friendly and gave us rides to the ferry and to pick up my car rental. We stayed in the new section of the Hotel that had a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline. The room was very well designed and had two queen side beds which was perfect for us. The staff was very knowledgeable about the bus schedules to go to NYC which saved us alot of money in cab fares and ferry fees. Bottom line a very good choice for the money.

Stayed here for three nights and it was a cheaper alternative to the Manhattan hotels at this time of year. The rooms are much bigger with some million dollar views.
We had a local limousine/taxi service from JFK for around $90 as we had a lot of luggage and we were not too sure how much a metered taxi would cost.
The flat fare to Manhattan did not apply here.

We had a recently decorated room with a small view of the river. It was roomy with a king bed, sofa and chairs and a workstation in a separate area.A big LCD screen in the bedroom. The bathroom had big fluffy towels and nice amenities as per the Sheraton line.

There was free Wi Fi in the lobby area which is not available at some Sheraton Hotels.
The hotel was still under restoration and it was only a problem getting to your room in the daytime via the outside. We got a little wet as it was raining the whole time we were there.
We did not eat at the hotel and found a little food court in the office building up the road and also a lovely deli across the street. There is a couple of restaurants nearby, not tried.

We made use of the ferry service to Manhattan just across the street, with the connecting free bus service to "up or downtown".Going to Midtown was fairly easy as the connections are seamless.Buy your tickets at reception. They are only available at certified outlets.
Be sure to check the departure and return times. It doesn't run weekends. There is an alternative, ask the concierge.
You can also take the train form the station about two blocks away.

We found the reception staff a little impersonal.
Would we stay again? Definitely! Be sure to ask for one of the newer rooms.
Perhaps once the improvements are complete,Sheraton may put the rates up.
Either way, you can't get views like these across the river without the extra price tag.
