Here on business. Gorgeous view of NYC. The ferry is right at the edge of this hotel, and will get you in to the city within 15 mins (total $18 each way). Safe area.

Room is large. Bed is comfy. Staff was friendly. Prefect spot for a biz trip. Room service is fast and food is better than average.

Great hotel! Service was extremely professional and helpful. Rooms are large, modern and clean with all the amenities you could expect. Heating was slightly noisy, but not enough to really bother you.

The complimentary business lounge was very helpful for those needing to print a page or two.

I thought the $25 charge for the parking was excessive considering they have a big street-level lot designed for self parking. Most hotels will not charge for parking in a similar situation.

Other than the parking issue, I can highly recommend this hotel. Can't expect anything more.

Starwood tried to reposition this property by reclassifying it from the Sheraton Suites on the Hudson to the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel a few years ago. It isn't really more upscale, even it it takes more SPG points to get a room now. Its great asset is its easy access to Manhattan - a ferry right outside the door; and NJ Transit buses stop immediately by it on their way into and out of the Lincoln Tunnel. It's also close to the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail though that is of little interest to tourists. Filled with European tourists looking for a deal and willing to be a little further out, it also gets American families and conferences, as it has on-site parking for a price (expensive - be warned!). As a business hotel in an office park, local dining options are also very limited - Houlihan's across the street and Ruth's Chris Steak House servicing the bank back offices located in the Lincoln Harbor complex, which is sterile and charmless. The hotel restaurant is unremarkable but serviceable, and (pricy) room service is available. Get a room with a view of the city, preferably head-on and not at an angle (Hoboken view with bits of Manhattan... LOL), The mini-suites have partly separated living rooms at the entrance, with no natural light and these lead to bedrooms which have windows the windows. These are the standard room here, so in terms of size they are quite generous and include a pull-out couch for families; and by Manhattan standards are palatial. The staff is all very nice, and having a swimming pool in the fitness center is a very nice extra touch for those visitors who aren't worn out from touring NYC. On the whole a better deal than most chain hotels in Manhattan if you don't mind having to watch the time on your return transportation; taxis from NYC to NJ are unregulated and the drivers can charge you whatever you will pay them. Don't come expecting a real suite and you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: See if you can get a corner suite with more space and more windows. Remember that there are many ty...

Stayed at the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor for three days back in 2009, and enjoyed the visit. After trying another--cheaper--hotel last year that was horrible, I just had to go back to the Sheraton. The staff is friendly, the hotel is literally spotless clean with very comfortable, modern rooms, and there is a great view of the city from many of the rooms. The bus stop is less than 300 yards away, and it is the last stop on the way in and first stop on the way out of the city. Can't beat that! Not the cheapest hotel that you may find, but in my opinion, it is well worth the price.

Room Tip: A city view room is well worth the price of the upgrade.

Although the view of Manhattan is outstanding, the hotel is not up to par. The carpet in the hallway (10th floor) is thread bare and the ice makers on both the 9th and 10th floors were out of service. Since there was no fridge in the room (for which there was plenty of room), I expected hotel management to make sure the alternative, ice, was readily available and that something a little larger than a miniature ice bucket was provided.

The 6-minute ferry to Manhattan is indeed just outside the door; however it's $10 per person per trip. Two people coming and going once a day would add $40 to the daily cost. We found the bus which is only a half block away to be very inexpensive, reliable and easy to use; it takes you to the Port Authority near Times Square. On the day I checked out, I asked for a taxi to take me to Grand Central; the person at the front desk said that taxis don't come to the Sheraton, but a town car was available for $65. The rooms are quite large, especially by NY standards.

The front desk has very long lines in the morning and if you just want to ask a simple question, you must get in the que.

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming, but I think they could do a better job of informing guests of needed information. For instance, I asked what time the ferry would be leaving. I was told the time, but was not told that I needed to buy the ferry tickets inside the Sheraton as the ferry doesn't take cash. I learned that little tidbit when I tried to board the ferry, and ended up having to miss that ferry as it left while I walked back inside to buy the ticket.

We had a group driving down from Canada on Black Friday. We arrived at the hotel without much traffic and had a rest before we set out fresh again.

The hotel had a stunning view of Manhattan island. It was also worthy to walk around the hotel in a sunny day.

The disadvantage was that when it had a good distant view of the island, it also a good distance from Manhattan.
There are several ways to use. The hotel staff is very helpful. Handouts available on the shelves near computers as well.

By car through the Lincoln Tunnel, the shortest and quickest way to get to Manhattan. As long as there is no accident or traffic jam, you are clear in 10 minutes. We were not that lucky on Sunday that an accident stopped the traffic for 1 hour. BTW, a fee is due to enter the city.

50 Meters from the hotel, there was a bus that goes to Manhattan (to 40th/8). The trip takes about 30 minutes.

A light train station was 5 minutes walk away. It can bring you to New Port shopping center where you can find a PATH train went up 6th Ave. from 9th to 42nd. This was approximately 1 hour trip.

There is also ferry service for about 29$ pp to the island as well. The terminal is close to 40th as well. I did not tried this option though.

In general it is a very good place to stay. Plan for the day and carry everything for today with you if you want to tour Manhattan. And do not come back too late. You will need cabs after midnight.

Room Tip: Call to confirm if you have two beds or one in the room.
