This hotel has the best location to easily access NJ and NY and it was at a great price. We stayed at this hotel so that we could visit Carlo's Bake Shop (The Cake Boss) in Hoboken, NJ. It's about 10 minutes away by car. The hotel is close to the Lincoln tunnel but we opted to take the Manhatten ferry which stops at the dock in front of the hotel. A quick ride on the ferry took us Manhattan and we walked to the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space museum. We also got to walk around the Hell's Kitchen area and found a great place to eat.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, well kept and very clean. Great attention to details. The lobby is warm and inviting. There is security in the parking lot and I think in front of the hotel. The front desk staff/conceirge were friendly and knowlegeable. They greeted us every time we passed through the lobby. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel. Our waiter was very friendly. Food service was a bit slow. We didn't mind because the view from the restaurant was very romantic. We went in the evening and it was beautiful to look across the water and see Manhattan all lit up. My scallops were divine but my husband's meat pizza was dissapointing. The second night we stayed we drove over to Washington street in Hoboken. There are dozens of tasty restaurants along that street.

The view of the New York skyline from our room was magnificent. We stayed in a King Suite. It was very roomy. Two flat screens, King size bed plus a seperate sitting area. Starbucks coffee in the coffee maker. Two bottles of water (one was free; one was a small charge). The bathroom was roomy and well decorated. I loved that the hotel was environmentally friendly. There was a recyling bin, energy saving lights, water saving commode, water saving shower head and an option to skip housekeeping and receive hotel points or a $5 gift card.

Parking is $25/night so be mindful that it is an add on. There is also a $10/night charge for internet service so we declined the option and just accessed what we needed through our phones. This is a wonderful hotel and we highly recommend it. We saw families as well as business people staying at the hotel. There were meeting rooms and a great internet business hub on the main floor. They also had a pool but we didn't get a chance to use it. We spent most of our time shopping and eating.

Room Tip: The view of the Manhattan skyline is breathtaking so try and get a room with a view.

We stayed over New Year after getting a great deal on hotwire. We were aware of the location before we traveled which did worry us slightly, no need to be concerned though the bus and the ferry are very convenient and quick. Get the ferry once for the experience and then get the bus for the cost. We were very lucky to receive a side city view, this was defiantly one of the main reasons i would encourage people to stay here, we never bored of the amazing Manhattan skyline. We enjoyed leaving Manhattan after a packed day sight seeing. There are lots of great restaurants in Hoboken and Houlihan's is a great spot for drinks and food, we visited 2 nights of our stay.

I agree with some of the other posts about the heating/air-con system it is extremely noisy and ours refused to turn off after one very sleep deprived night i went down to reception to complain, this was dealt with very quickly by unplugging the wall unit. this solved the problem but not very effective at keeping the room warm. Also the windows do not open, this was an issue for us as we like fresh air in a room and suffered with very dry throats in the mornings. WiFi is available in the lobby and the hotel has 4 very good computers for internet access. I do find it disappointing when a hotel charges for in room WiFi.

I would recommend this hotel if you can get a great deal and don't mind a small commute into Manhattan.

i stayed here with my fiance and picked the NYC view suite for 2012 new year..
if your looking at this know that views are what make this hotel.. stunning, you will never draw your curtains.
i would pick this over any 'new york' hotel because the travel is 5 mins from hotel to times square by bus of which are every 10 mins. and you get peace after a guaranteed busy day on the island.
would GENUINELY pick this hotel if returning to nyc.

Room Tip: NYC KING VIEW SUITE will not disappoint

Wonderful experience even during the craziness of the July 4th weekend and the fireworks in front the hotel over the Hudson. Staff very helpful and they took extra care to make sure everyone felt safe and secure. Hope to revisit to repeat such a wonderful experience in the future!

The location is great with the ferry across to mid town from just outside the door. Beware it is expensive to use compared to bus or the PATH.
Rooms are large and well fitted out but the air conditioning/heating system is really noisy - very odd indeed.
As others have said the food and beverage service has poor timings and just an Italian restaurant on the premises is quite poor. Having said that the food was fine for breakfast and dinner if expensive. Try Houlihans nearby for more options. The free wifi in the lobby is good but then at the price they charge for a room it should be free all over.
Lack of competition in Hoboken/Weehawken shows!
In summary not a bad hotel but for the price expected more.

Room Tip: Ask for a room where the air conditioning doesn't sound like a jet aircraft - if they have any

very nice hotel!
Very Clean, the check in was super fast and easy. Staff is very polite. Free Internet in the loby. Very good location. Theres fairy that goes every 10min and the post is located right infront on the hotel (Not even 1 min walk). the tikets are bough directly from the hotel which makes it even easier! You can also take a 158 bus that brings you streight to Time Square, and it takes 5 min! Normaly the tiket price is 3.25$ but if you buy 10 at the time it would come to 2.70$/ch. Over all very satisfied! Its worth every penny! Would stay again!

Room Tip: you can even ask for the upgrade to get a city view. We asked and got it with no extra cost right aw...

Very nice hotel. Easy to get in and out of NYC. Walking distance to hoboken along the water. Beautiful views. Hotel is clean and staff very helpful. Workout room looks nice (didn't use it). We did use the pool. The pool area was clean and pleasant. The pool needs some work though. It was cloudy and the steps had sediment on them (not sure what was going on with the water). The kids loved the pool despite the sediment on the steps. The hotel would have been perfect if the pool was a little cleaner. Overall very nice hotel for the NYC area. We have a lot of experience with hotels in this area. This hotel is above average and we will return again. Thanks!
