We have a ritual with Taka. Besides going when I need a sushi fix, we always go there on the night before we leave for vacation. The owner is super nice and accommodating. The sushi is fresh and the pieces are of a respectable size. The staff is efficient and we always enjoy our meal. Be sure to support a small local business.

I love sushi, have them at least every couple of weeks. Tried many places, but so far "Taka" of Wayne is my personal favorite. I've been a client of Taka for many years and never had a bad experience. Selection is very big, and everything Ive tried is simply delicious. Good food, good service, they treat you like a family. Very often I come here with my friends, and all of them enjoy the food. Sometimes we have our family events in this restaurant.
My absolute favorits are Sakura roll ( salmon or tuna) and seared tuna on a bed of spinach. Prices are reasonable and It's BYOB. Unbeatable combnation!

I love sushi. I have eaten in many different sushi joints inthe area but this one is the best. They have fresh fish and a menu with a huge sushi menu and extensive cooked food menu as well. Its BYOB so bring it if you got it. I love their beef sashimi. Its rediculous. They also will make you special roles on request. Try the Black angel roll or the dynamite roll. Just enjoy it

My daughter in law recently treated me to lunch here before she and my son left Wayne. While they lived here, they used to come and eat here quite often.

The menu is huge, with some pretty interesting offers that I did not expect to see in a little suburban Japanese restaurant - meals such as White Tuna Teriyaki or their Huna roll, which was an absolutely delicious roll consisting of fresh spicy tuna, salmon with white tuna, and topped with yellow tail. This roll is my all time favorite. Gotta try it when you come here.

After the roll we shared an order of aged tofu, which is deep fried tofu served with a dipping sauce. It was very good, the tofu was fried just right, not at all greasy.

My daughter in law ordered the Gyu Shogayaki, which is sliced beef sauteed in a soy ginger sauce. She said she orders this all the time, and thinks it is quite tasty.

I went for the Lunch Maki special, where you can get your choice of three rolls for $10.95, along with soup and salad. There are a lot of roll choices for the maki special, and some of the rolls include a California roll, a shrimp and cucumber Roll, the Philadelphia roll, their spicy Tuna roll, a tuna and avocado Roll, the Oshinko roll, a salmon skin roll, the shrimp and avocado roll, the eel and cucumber roll, a salmon and cucumber roll, the yellowtail and scallion roll, their spicy salmon roll, a sweet potato roll and a shrimp tempura roll, as well as the vegetable roll.

With such a decent choice of rolls, I had a tough time deciding, but finally settled on the salmon skin roll, which was great, crispy salmon skin rolled nicely in a roll, the eel and cucumber roll, the eel being lightly broiled with a good sauce, fresh cucumber that was not on its' last "legs", and the yellowtail and scallion roll, which was very fresh and delicious.

Too bad for me that my "kids" decided to buy a house out of state, I could have easily made this restaurant one of my regular stops.
