This "Romance Package" was a gift from our family. While we were very relaxed and had an enjoyable time, we did not feel there was value for the money. The rooms were nice and spacious, but definitely not "plush". We are very big travelers and stay at 4-5 star resorts, this would be at best a 3.5. The spa was very nice.

Dear Romance guests,

Thank you for your review.

We are considered a family resort, however Grand Cascades is our 4 Star hotel and very plush, which is how you describe what you're looking for. Please consider our sister property for your next romantic getaway, it will be all that you expect and more.

Thank you for staying with us.

My husband and I just returned after spending the weekend at Minerals. The room we had was the middle priced room and it was very clean and new. There was a fireplace, microwave, fridge, and a balcony with a lovely view of the mountains. There is a fabulous indoor pool with waterfalls and hot tubs. The gym facilities were great. There are group fitness classes but we didn't take them. We went to the spa (Elements) and had massages. The spa is beautiful and well run. It is not that big so make reservations in advance. There is a restaurant on the property called Kites which is "ok" we went there for lunch and it was good but we heard dinner isn't great. There were couples and families there. The sister property called the Cascade Lodge is more high end and is geared more to couples than families. There is a shuttle that runs between the 2 properties which we used to go to dinner both nights. Latour is unbelievable. There are only 12 tables and it is $$$$ but such a wonderful dining experience. The Crystal Tavern was also great bar food and a fun atmosphere. The staff was nice. We had asked to move rooms after being woken up throughout the first night by a baby whose parents were letting her cry herself to sleep. We went away to get away from being up in the middle of the night! We were accommodated immediately. The 2 most helpful people we encountered were Brian at the front desk and Frank the van driver. The downfall of this place we felt was that it is trying to be a high end resort but the staff is made up mostly of high school and college kids that respond to questions like high school and college kids. We will definitely go back with the kids since there a lots of things for them to do.

We have been to Minerals hotel a few times! We very much enjoy the convience. The hotel has a beautiful ambience. Our son loves to swim in the outdoor heated pool especially when we go in October! We loved the Spa right downstairs...it dosen't get better then that.
I would hightly recommend the Minerals Resort

The staff is polite and accomodating. You feel part of something special. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is great for families, couples or basically anyone who is looking for relaxation.
I personally go there at least once a month and there is always something to do if not in the hotel, in the surrounding area.
It's really great.

We just returned from a week's stay at the Mineral Springs timeshare condo's. We were very much looking forward to a nice golf vacation and then started reading the reviews on this website. After reading the bad reviews given to the timeshare condo's neither my husband or I were looking forward to our trip. Also, right before we left we had a bit of a family emergency and had to take our two year old grandaughter with us. Needless to say we left home with quite a few reservations.

When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with the resort. As we were a bit early to check in we decided to take our grandaugher to the pool. The pools at the main resort are great. The indoor and one out door pool are heated. The resort also has a good sized children's area with spray fountains that our grandaughter enjoyed.

The staff as well as residents we met were not only friendly but helpful.

Our condo was quite a way up the mountain which was nice. (Eagle's Nest #5 Unit 8) As for the condo itself, it was nice but, no where near as nice as Marriott accomodations. It looked to be relatively newly done over. My largest complaint about the condo would be it needed a good cleaning. It appeared to have been surface cleaned, i.e. tub, toilets, stove, sinks and floors were all clean but there were quite a few cobwebs around, alot of dust on the ceiling fans, lights in the bathrooms and the baseboards. Carpeting looked to be relatively new, the furniture for the most part was ok although the two end tables in the living area both had broken legs. The dining room table was marked up but that would be expected as they don't supply place mats. We had a three bedroom condo with a king and double bed on the main level and two twin beds in the loft area.

Golf courses in the area were very nice. We took advantage of the afternoon golf.

As for restaurants, The George's Inn was very good and reasonable priced. We ate dinner one night at the Crystal Tavern which is located in the Crystal Village. The tavern itself was very nice but, for the price we were a bit disappointed in the food. Also, our meals were served to us barely luke warm.

All in all we had a very nice time at the resort and hope to return someday.

I recently attended a wedding at the resort and stayed overnight.
The wedding itself was fabulous. It was held in the outdoor pavillion in the evening. The bride was beautiful, as was the view looking out of the pavillion.

The food, beginning with appetizers and ending with dessert was great.

The room that we were assigned was very nicely decorated, and had all of the amenities that a great hotel room should have. I was especially impressed with the fluffiness of the bath towels!

The next day, we had breakfast in the restaurant and then went for a swim in the pool.....A great time was had by everyone who stayed overnight!

We have long been in search of family resort destination that was close to NYC - and had lots to do for kids of all ages - with onsite and local activities for young adults and us parents - we found it at Mineral Springs Resort. We highly recommend it to anyone with kids -- or even without kids if you love golf, hiking, fresh air and fun!! Give it a try and you won't be disappointed - also they just finished a new property called Grand Cascade - slightly higher end but also great value!

PS - the manager was extremely helpful - ask for Kim Uczkowski if you want straight answers and understanding
