Mountain Creek Water Park is a great family water park that features amazing views. The lines aren't long and when they are a little long you don't have to wait that long. Lots of rides for smaller as well as adults and teens. It's built on a mountain so there is a lot of uphill walking. Many rides, all fun. Overall a very nice place for a family trip.

I was not satisfied with the lifeguards/water park attendants. They appeared to be very young and part-timers. I am assuming because of the summer/busy season. I had coached at least 5 attendants while my three year old was on the toddler slides. I am sure the lifeguards on duty that day would remember me. I also found that several of the lifeguards did not speak English very well. On the toddler tube pool, I requested the guard to ask my daughter to sit on her tube correctly. The lifeguard thought I was asking her to take a photo of us. Parents please watch your children (even if you cannot go on the water ride with them). The layout of the park is located on a mountain; you’ll get a workout going from ride to ride. All in all it is a very nice day trip for family and friends.

Took a weekday trip up to Mountain Creek with my 12 & 15 yr old sons. Waterpark does not disappoint. Place is the best in the area & the rides & the intensity of the rides blow away anything in the area of NJ & PA. Note that the place is built in the mountains on hills so there is a lot of walking. This should not discourage you if you are going to a thrill park. Also note that the intensity of some of the rides is up there & the best in the area. Not to be missed is the cliff jump(where else can you jump off a 23ft cliff into a pool of mountain water), the Tarzan swings(also a big fall if jump off at the right time), the Colorado family raft ride(best & wildest raft ride ANYWHERE)(Now they even make you were helmets on it)(picture barreling down a mountain on raft), also the big funnel ride is good, and there’s a few more single & double rube rides, and a long mat ride. Also recently they have added two more things - A dry summer snow tubing thing (down the mountain on carpet - FYI have to wear closed toed shoes) and a mountain coaster that is very impressive (better than ones I have been on in New Hampshire) . Also note the water can be a bit chilly being it is a mountain water park, but even on a 80 degree day was not bad at all. So, just go – It’s the best place around in NJ & PA period.

This is one of the poorest designed water parks anywhere. It is built on a very steep hill so you have a long climb from your car to the wave pool. In addition the attitude of all the employees is "Ride at your risk". This means you are completely on your own while riding. If you have an emergency or need any assistance you can just forget about getting it. Be careful of your personal belongings because there is quite a bit of theft at the park.
There was a recent tube ride incident and the life guards were totally clueless and how to shut off the water and stop the ride. 5 riders were injured. I rode the Alpine Coaster recently and experienced a panic attack while riding. I used the brake and was rudely told over the loudspeaker - "NO BRAKING!". At the end of the ride I was told that I am permanently banned from the ride. I almost passed out on the exit platform. Not one employee asked me if I needed assistance of any kind.
The in park EMS crew was never called.
The park does seem to have a large group of season pass fans. They are there every day at opening to grab the best chairs in the shade at the wave pool. We saw people put towels on the best chairs and never use them until the late afternoon.
Don't even think of eating in the park. Bring your own lunch and go back to the car to eat it.
I will never return but lots of people will I am sure. Just make sure you go with lots of supportive friends and family members. Not one of the employees will care about you at all.

Arrived early to get a cabana. Got the wave vista overlooking wave pool. Long and uphill walk but close to lil dippers, restrooms & restaurants. Kids had fun in lost island, fishing village, sprayground, & hook. Also tried River runner, alpine coaster & the cabriolet wonderful views of mountain regions ny, nj, pa. Friends did Canyon cliff & Colorado river. Wave pool too cold to enjoy with young kids feels like melting ice. No showers but dressing rooms were clean. Food choices include salads & wraps, frozen Oreo, fresh lemonade, funnel cake. other rides we missed will save for future trip. Staff cleans up well at closing time before bears arrive in the evening. Lifeguards do pay attention to safety, saw 4 lifeguards by kids area & they make sure safety is important.
